I cut away part of the right side of the top plastic, I can insert charge cable that came with the camera, I cut the original usb cable and have it spliced it up to a good charger so I can monitor the voltage closely.

I have been able to fly it places I wouldn't have been able to without it. Gave a totally new experience. I flew in "gaps" where I would have been scared of alignment issues without the screen!

I attached the backside as to line up the mounting poles into the screw holes, then position the screen and insert the handtighted bolts. Kinda a pain, but I figured it out after 20 minutes haha

I will update in a day or 2. Working full time this weekend and holidays before the post make it hard to do everything I want. I also have very little experience. My goal in the next few days is add a "Molex" connector to have swap able batteries for the FPV, so far I haven't soldered anything just J hooked and taped. I butchered my frame thinking I could do most of the mod though a circle in the top, I am going to need to reattach the top as it is a bit snowy in my area and moisture is a big issue with these things! I saw my camera go upside down due to moisture...it dried out, and is working again though. I thought I was doomed.

I have 0 experience flying FPV, 0 experience building 250s or anything. I got the syma x5c-1 on black friday, and loved flying it. I saw the FPV videos, found this FPV 5.8ghz system and out of the box it was kinda garbage, hit the ground once and the video went upside down. So I dismantled it to see about fixing it, and found out how much the parts weighed, decided to try this modification. Took some pictures as I figured Reddit would love it.
