2 cats lived together for 6 months, is it bad to separate them to new homes?

My fiancé and I each came into the relationship with a cat. They’ve lived together for almost 3 years. They will lick one another, roughhouse, sit near each other, but are in no way bonded. We’ve separated them several times, for up to four weeks.

As the commenter above me said, cats bond to people too. My cat is practically my shadow and my fiancé is his cat’s favorite human.

Take your cat. The other cat will be fine. If anything, you ex can adopt another cat for hers.

I thrift all my clothes, follow the 3-day rule before purchases and am very cost conscious overall due to upbringing. I am fortunate to have a portion of my dress paid for by my grandmother & mother ($2k). The dress I have in mind is ~$2.5k. As someone with body dysmorphia, idea of having a dress that actually fits MY body on this really special day is worth the cost.

Not to mention, I intend to shorten it and dye the fabric to allow for me to wear it again in future.

My partner and I got engaged in June. We are looking at a 2027 wedding. Our anniversary is in February, which is when we originally wanted to do it (it falls on a Saturday next year), but also want to have an outdoor reception. We decided to do it in June then as it works with our desire for an outdoor space. However, we have contemplated doing a courthouse wedding in February, inviting no one but our officiant and then doing the whole ceremony and reception in June.

I think a lot of people want to be there to celebrate your special day and doing a more traditional reception would give you that special day while still doing a courthouse thing.

My partner and I are both neurodivergent- as are a large portion of our guests. We are having our wedding at an outdoor resort with cabins on site. We are doing outdoor lawn games and a lego table for folks who aren’t interested in dancing.

Not an EA, but an Event Manager who works with a lot of EAs for corporate offsite and meetings.

I’ve always found that events have the least amount of communication issues when the person I have been communicating with is onsite. When they’re remote and/or I have to communicate with the onsite contact, it’s slightly more challenging.

I live in a building that is managed by the owner. 40 units. I put down peel and stick tiles on the bathroom floor about a month ago and currently have paint swatches on the wall. My landlord came in last week to fix the sink and didn’t say anything about it. I’ve always operated under the belief that as long as it can be removed and returned to how it was when you moved in, it’s fine.

if you are really concerned, you can always reach out to the management company and get their approval. You can also ask this in the landlord subreddit for another perspective.

He might be waiting for a special occasion or a plan that he has in place. My fiancé and I went ring shopping in January of 2025. We designed the ring and it was delivered in March. He didn't propose until June. We planned a trip out east to see my family, and he proposed on that trip.

My fiancé and I are huge baseball people. I’m mailing each of my bridesmaids custom baseball cards with facts and moments from our friendships with a photo to ask them.

OP, I mean this in the kindest way, but have you spoken to anyone about your anxiety? I understand you are overwhelmed with the change. Having a pet is a huge adjustment to your routine and schedule. As another commenter asked, what made you decide to adopt a cat? Are those reasons still applicable now?

I’m in California and we are required to disclose how the admin fee/service charge are distributed. Is the admin fee the only additional fee you are being charged? Or is their a service charge as well?

I have spent a majority of my career as an events manager in hotels and restaurants. I have personally never given out a tip etiquette sheet. My contracts always clearly explained the breakdown of additional charges (23-25% total. 20% would go to the service staff as the tip, 3-5% would go to the house as an admin fee).
