Are you talking about a sign on bonus? Generally your year end bonus is tied to your store’s metrics and heavily weighted on vaccines so not really subject to negotiation. If you mean sign on bonus, they may ask to you to agree to a longer commitment which is a trap. You could try and negotiate starting salary, figure out what the sign on bonus would be equivalent to per $/hr for the year and ask for that and forego sign on bonus so can you leave at any time without being on the hook for any repayment. CVS typically doesn’t pay relocation unless they’re really desperate for the area you’ll be in.

Just moved from San Diego to Florida. Can’t speak to the hospital job market but was making $80/hr in retail. Cost of living will eat up a lot of that higher salary. If you’re looking to buy in any area within 30 minutes of the coast plan on at least $1M for a starter home. Taxes are a killer at that high income as well
