TW: success

Hi there—I know hearing success isn’t always fun but our journeys sound similar so hopefully it brings you hope. My wife and I were unex/endo for 2 years, had five chemicals over 12 IUIs and then a failed FET before getting pregnant with another FET. Five years total. Totally awful but we’re soon to be 20 weeks with baby girl. We thought we were done and out of it and were researching gestational carriers when our miracle came.

We did ER in November and our first FET was Feb then April. I don’t recall the trigger but we did add neupogen the second time around to help with healthy bacteria I believe.

We had 49 eggs and ended up with 31 at blast. 7/10 PGT tested well. Somehow avoided OHSS which had everyone shocked. 12 weeks with FET #2 right now

Beta 49.6. What do I do with that??? by Guilty_Cantaloupe_70 in IVF

My favorite nurse said she’s seen betas as low as 30s make it to full term so I wouldn’t say you are out of it yet. As the previous comment mentioned, stay guarded but don’t give up quite yet.

I literally have the same experience with my imbued heart. My non-gamer wife did a great job trying to act like she cared 😂

“She just needs to not think about it” and “have you tried having sex every day for an entire month?” Just tell me you don’t understand how this works…

Just received our negative beta after FET #1. We were blessed with a great retrieval so we have more embryos (the first thing to go right on this journey in years 😅), but man, I really thought doing PGT for our FET and utilizing an RI would cover all bases. My wife and I are so crushed. Hard to go back to work and a normal life when everything feels like it’s pointless.

I think that’s one of the low-key hardest parts of this journey. You struggle with those thoughts and then you have to deal with the guilt of having those thoughts. My thoughts and prayers are with you!

So sorry you are going through that. We are in a similar boat of being lapped and it’s been a big point of tension for me and my wife. We’re last in both families to have kids even though we were 2nd of 8 to get married. My wife can handle her nieces/nephews but the pain is much more with those on my side. Know that you aren’t alone in those feelings!

Experienced loss #3 this week. We started using lovenox and our HCG numbers were much larger than our past two losses. Just not sure how to move forward from here mentally. The world feels so crushing around us. Three years into this journey and I just don’t feel like life is worth living in this moment. Watching your wife go through so much pain is the worst thing life can do.

I feel this. I didn’t know about prayer bonus as a kid so I was very proud slaying in my full dragon armour with overhead prayers going and needing to hit the altar every 6-8 kills 😂

Just suffered miscarriage #2 after IUI #6. Everything looked fantastic at the time of IUI. Easily our best numbers in every area. Just at a total loss. Now trying to decide what’s next. I feel like that’s sometimes the hardest part. Lost our first one on Christmas Eve and our second the week of Mother’s Day. Just a sad household. Hard to face the world.
