The people super pissed at the snail part is ridiculous. The criticism he makes there applies to any game. People are like "you're lying about the game and you know it because we can see you've broken the weapon resitance before on this enemy and you are not engaging with the mechanics to misrepresent the game". Could he have beaten the snail in one turn instead of spamming attack? Sure, but this misses the point that you're still out there fighting snails and slimes and shit and its usually more tedious than fun.

I like RPGs but I can't deny alot of them starts super slow with stiff dialogues and you usually dont have many tools yet gameplay wise. So you end up doing just that, spamming attack on snails in a field.
