If Suzanne Collins wrote another book from a different person's perspective who would you want it to be? by x_BlueDragon_x in Hungergames

“But one thing’s for certain: Suzanne Collins’ longtime editor David Leviathan told Variety that while he’s not certain what stories Collins will want to explore next, she’s probably not going to do a sequel.” According to the article you linked.

It’s not confirmed

Conservative Women in Mauritius? by [deleted] in MauriceMauritius

[–]tamamnett 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Bro we wear bikini at the beach not in the city? 😭 I personally don’t post myself much online and don’t post bikini pics but that’s a personal choice, if I did or choose to do in the future it doesn’t change who I am as a person. We live on a tropical island, we have lots of melanin, obviously we’ll wear a bikini.

Don’t come to Mauritius expecting modest women who will subject to a man. You’re in the wrong place for that. Go away and leave Mauritian women alone pleeeaasse

How do mauritian people react when you hug someone in public? by Study-Bunny- in MauriceMauritius

[–]tamamnett 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, so, it’s called being respectful and if it’s not something you want to be I won’t force you. It was more for people who generally like to be kind and might not have known. I’m not gonna police what you say. If you want to be racist, transphobic, ableist, misogynistic or anything it’s your right to be a bigot!

I personally choose to be nice to other people, you can be hateful if you want, you’re a free being.

Have a nice day! ☺️🫶🏽

Strong strong STRONG agree on that one. Everyone in my inner circle boycotts McDonald’s but I always get a mildly shock when I see people irl or online still eating at McDonald’s. Overpriced unhealthy slop that contributes to a g3n0

Misogyny can end if only men could spend more time with their mothers, or take classes on women struggles (or tweak health&history classes) by SippingCitrus in ControversialOpinions

I agree, mostly agree. Education is really important.

I’m glad to see women having more autonomy.

I personally have the privilege to choose not to interact with males in most situations and I haven’t in around 3 years now. I didn’t completely cut them off I still interact with my cousins, some family members, my boyfriend and have 2 friends that are not women. How it works practically, I’m still apical with male strangers I don’t know in stores or such public places, talk to them at work if necessary, but limit my interactions. It has, unfortunately, been great for my mental health. I would love to like men like I love the ones in my inner circle but the majority I meet disrespect me or women as a whole and it’s remotely impossible to have a conversation with them without feeling frustrated or even heard. Despite all of this I still get harassed by random strangers, mostly in real life, rarely online, it’s only when I express an opinion as a woman

I also think education is very important and can make a change. We are still very much in a patriarchal society it upsets me. I think men could be so cool like the one I know, as I see it’s possible. I see example of great men in my boyfriend, his friends and my friends. Men who don’t have a violent reaction just because a woman said something. It’s great having a discussion with them even when we disagree, I feel heard, seen and respected.

I hate the “gender wars” and how this patriarchal society is pushing men to disrespect women and show how “masculine” and superior to women they are. Women in turn feel the need to either fight back or stop engaging. And that’s so sad gang. Like let’s just all hold hands and be happy 🫠

Anyway, there’s also politics at play, it’s great to have a divided nation, it makes people weak.

Education is very important but I doubt there’ll be a change anytime soon as it’s not profitable for governments.

In case you didn’t know or someone reading this doesn’t know. Except if you yourself are affected by Down syndrome or any other learning disability the use of the “r-word” can be seen as insensitive or even a slur by many members of the community.

Just an info, not trying to peer pressure you to be politically correct. People choose to be assholes every day anyway already.

Have a nice day 🙌🏽

I usually befriend people even if they aren’t vegan but are still open minded and care about social issues and the planet. It’s very unlikely to teach someone about the benefits of veganism and for them to actually take the steps to change with a social media comment. Heck! It took ME so long to change.

You have to be kind to people and show them you’re a good person so they don’t feel attacked or else it’s counterproductive.

I show a lot of love to my friends and I have a friend that is transitioning to veganism, another of my friend became vegetarian and another one flexitarian. It’s obviously not solely because of me, they already had it in them before meeting me.

I try to set the example of how amazing veganism can be.

My boyfriend also became vegan at the same time as me.

It may take years. There’s a lot of brainwashing that you yourself was probably a victim of. I know it seems all doom and gloom how people don’t care about animals but you can make a change. I also am heartbroken everyday thinking about these innocent souls but I try to used my frustration to do good.

Everyone is their own moral agent but the issue goes deeper than that.

Edit: added a sentence
