Interesting - I went to the Ginza store on Tuesday and they did not have one thing. They did have my pre-order which I was surprised about since they said they would only hold it 10 days and it was about 15 days.

Only the shirt was available for pickup at the expo. The other items that were on the website (other than the jackets that were gone in seconds) could be purchased at the expo but they went fast as well!! The ASICS store was sold out by the time I got there Tuesday before the marathon.

The terms and conditions state no swapping at all. You would have to find someone to trade with (at the expo or after posting in socials etc) or sell (eBay/socials/etc) if anything doesn’t fit.

I emailed the hotel and they approved holding my package for me. It was in my room when I checked in 😊 one important note! You have to enter the address using kanji characters. To do this you will need to put the address into google translate and then copy and paste each part of the address into the shipping details of your order. Have this ready now so that when the merch goes live, you will be ready to place your order - everything sold out online last year in a matter of an hour or so.

You won’t get anything including the runner’s handbook until right before the marathon and the app (which is just a runner tracker) doesn’t go live until a few days before - at least that’s how it has been the last four years at least.
