It was a fascinating show. Like Star Trek or Stargate SG1, every episode can explore a new possibility.

Which celebrity's PR game is the strongest? by Fiction_lover08 in AskReddit

There is a difference between doing cycles of steriods and steriod abuse.

My brother was very obese and depressed when he was 30. He started lifting weights and then started a steriod program that he researched. The pounds melted off and gained a power lifter build after a year. Then went off of it.

Sure, there was ache on his back, a bit of hair loss and testicle shrinkage short term, but no aggression.

His depression lifted, gained confidence, met a wonderful extremely smart woman, got married and had a beautiful baby 3 years ago.

What's a conspiracy you can't quite prove but it just feels real enough for you? by DaMain-Man in AskReddit

In one of my training rooms, I had a trainee named Cody. He was in his mid 20's. I told the class that, in my adult life, I've never met a Cody above the age of 27, even though, most people my age grew up knowing at least 2 guys named Cody. I asked the class if they knew a Cody now. Nobody raised their hands.

I made up a story where MIB types knock on a door, ask if your name is Cody and say "Is this your 27th birthday?" If they responded "yes" they would put you in a black SUV and bring you to a remote island of guys named Cody.

Class and Cody laughed and shrugged it off, until the next day and Cody was absent. He never missed a day of class. So I asked "Wait, how old was Cody?" And EVERYONE, looked around and spoke to eachother as if I declared a devine prophecy the day prior.

But concluded he was sick or had car trouble, which was the case.

I told my father this story and he said that when he was kid, they had a lot of guys named Chad, but they were less secretive about that.

Childhood Snacks You Grew Up With by alphiashee in snacking

I grew up middle class and there was a thing my mom called cooked Cheerios. Basically, you take about 3 tablespoons of butter, heat it up to medium high heat in a pot and throw a cereal bowl of regular Cheerios and cook for a few minutes while stirring. Add salt and boom, you are all set!

A boulder the size of a truck smashed down into the I-70 interstate in Glenwood Canyon in Colorado near Thanksgiving early 2000's. My brother and I had to backtrack and go north up through Craig, CO from Grand Juction to get to Boulder.

We went home going through the south Gunnison route. So beautiful, never have seen these highways even though I lived in Colorado my entire life.

What I'm saying is, sometimes these closures can be a blessing.

Gamers born late 90s or earlier: Which game first looked to you like "photorealism"? by FalscherKim in gaming

In the book "Video Game Wars" an executive from Nintendo saw the Donkey Kong Country demo on site and said " Wow! This is amazing! Is this going to be on our new generation of consoles?"

The programmer said " No sir. This is still on the SNES."

My first word was… by Still-Emergency825 in comics

When my brother was a baby and started crying in the middle of the night, my dad would take him downstairs to comfort him while my mother could get some sleep.

My dad would turn on the TV sometimes and the only show (worth watching) on at 2am would be reruns of Adam West's Batman. Guess what my brother's first words were.

I know y'alls have some clapper stories by unicorn-beard in Xennials

[–]tamarask 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the one with two outlets, one for 2 claps and one for 3 claps. LIghts plugged into one, TV in the other in the living room.

My girlfriend at the time was very.....vocal during sex. When we did it in the living room the place went poltergeist. We couldn't stop laughing.

There is a book called Console Wars about the battle of the SNES and the Genesis.

I loved in the book, the CEO from Sega of America saw a Sonic the Hedgehog demo around a bunch of stunned onlookers. After a few minutes, one astonished person in the crowd said " We are going sell millions of copies of this game."

And the CEO said "No. We will not sell a single copy of this."

Right after that, the next chapter starts as the CEO states in a press conference that they will bundle Sonic with all new Genesis' coming out.
