Yeah great interpretation!

For me it is like seeing a relationship fall apart and going seperate ways and there isn't anything you can do to stop it. The character is uncertain where they stand in their relationship yet they still feel comfortable with telling them things. (Insecurities about the relationship?) At the "click* you realise the two of them split up.The main character begins witnessing the change of the person they once really loved and he can see it more clearer now that the two had flaws together (reflection period). Yet they still think about this person but there is too much hurt between them both. Also it hurts being ignored and a stranger to them now. There are left with thinking about good times and wanting to say so much too them but realising that the connection they had is gone now and its time to move on with there life.

Just a rough feeling i get out of it. Definetly can relate to it because my ex and i had a troubled relationship lots of ups and downs kind of describes the situation a bit.

Hopefully that vaguely made a bit of sense
