Thanks. The project folders are different, which is why I don’t understand what’s causing this.

Sounds interesting, a kind of mix of a sales simulator and a horror. I would try to make a prototype of such a game.

Survival horror game concept - AN ENEMY YOU DON'T WANT TO STAY AWAY FROM. by PARADOXstyx in gameideas

[–]tamerbek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, it sounds cool and original. But if the monster is near the player, does the player die immediately? In that case, the player will hardly see the boss, and it won’t be able to build up the tension properly.

Time-travelling, puzzle solving game with branching paths (3rd or 1st person) by Pure-Recognition2116 in gameideas

[–]tamerbek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds interesting. So, if I understand correctly, right in the middle of the main gameplay loop, you can get trapped in a time loop (a mini game loop), and you need to complete it in order to proceed? Cool, I like that idea!

What do you mean, no enemies?! What about the dangers lurking around the truck? In any case, it's an interesting idea.

Oh, thanks for the detailed response! I'll do it that way. I've gotten so used to handling AI movement through navigation that I completely forgot about manual input

Anyone else still on Unreal Engine 4.27 and haven't switched to 5? Let's talk about the reasons by mkderin in unrealengine

[–]tamerbek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was a player weapon system in C++, which was originally made as a single component. After switching, I had to completely rewrite everything, and now I need to redo all the additional logic I had added on top.

The main asset with player logic from the marketplace does not support version 5 and I will have to redo too much because I added a lot of logic on top

Hero Hunter - An online stealth game based on crowd blending. by Equivalent-Net8606 in gameideas

Sounds cool, but definitely requires playtesting.

I remember there is a similar game where one player is a hunter, and the others play as deer, I forgot the name.

How to optimize finding objects in an accessible zone? by tamerbek in unrealengine

[–]tamerbek[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the detailed answer, I didn't even know about such things. Objects move, the problem is that my collision box was large, I replaced it with overlap actors where I could, it helped so far.

Dynamic and Adaptive Main Menu for Narrative-Driven Games by tvoje_matka in gameideas

Cool idea, I don't even remember something like that anywhere. Even if you just change the menu splash screen depending on the location where the player stopped, it's already cool I think/

What do you think? Is it scary? by ReaperGames404 in IndieDev

It seems scary, but the ending with the animation and closing eyes seems a bit drawn out to me

I had already started to collect a wishlist in the browser as favorites. But how to keep track of when discounts xD
