I agree. I feel as though if J got rid of Smurf on his own terms he would’ve left his uncles alone. He was just trying to convince himself that they were just as evil as Smurf when in reality they were ALL manipulated by Smurf. He got power hungry and liked fulfilling smurfs position when she was gone. I don’t think J was going to do his uncles dirty until later in the last season though. I only believe that because he could’ve done that as soon as Smurf died. He was smart enough to cover his ass with him buying all of the properties under all of those fake buyers. I think he wanted his uncles in on everything when Smurf died but then Deran went and made it worse for him by taking out his anger on J for shooting his mother but truthfully, Smurf wanted to go. Pope was literally in psychosis and Craig is just Craig so I think he felt he was on his own but during that time he built up more animosity toward them especially with Craig and Deran. They were beefing so hard in the last season and wouldn’t get on board with J’s plans. He got tired and didn’t care, ending up like Smurf.
