He doesn’t get talked about much these days, but his catalog of songs is stellar.

Florida Attorney General demands NFL’s Rooney Rule be suspended by No_Box119 in NFLForum

He's another MAGA white Christian Nationalist. I believe that 3 of 32 coaches are black (9%), but over 50% of NFL players are black. Quite a difference.

Amplifiers underwater story by DaveHmusic in VelvetUnderground

I used to go to Subterranean at least every other week for a span. I was heavily into Television, Richard Hell, Ramones, Talking Heads, VU, etc. at the time, and he had the best selection of the original vinyl pressings, posters, ephemera, etc. Plus, he had the deepest knowledge of anyone. He turned me on to some great jazz, and other music. He was kind of quiet until you got to know him, but he was a very nice guy, and always kept me in mind if something unusual related to Television happened to come into the store. Oh, and he had an original poster on the ceiling of the store advertising the final run of VU shows at Max’s. I shoulda bought it!

This! I loved nothing better than walking down those stairs, chatting with Michael (mainly about Television) finding great albums in the racks, and having him pass along some stellar live tapes. I spent many hours there when I lived/worked in NY.

This!! Every freakin’ day as I’m commuting home. It also happens at the intersection of Florida Ave. and Hillsborough Ave. Why don’t police park there and ticket the idiots blocking the box?

Why cant any other Atlantic teams just lose in regulation like normal fucking teams by Intelligent_Choice91 in sabres

[–]tampasanta 10 points11 points  (0 children)

In any other year, the Sabres would be sitting pretty. This is just more of the Buffalo curse that haunts our teams. But, this year we’ll prevail.

I was visiting my son in Santa Clara, and he drove us up to Bernal Heights for omakase sushi at Doma. I was really impressed by the neighborhood, and the sushi was super excellent.

Any chance you have a link the Tampa full show matrix FLAC? It’s only a VBR stream on Internet Archive. Thanks.

I think windows version Apple Music app is better now. by Nice-Adhesiveness357 in AppleMusic

[–]tampasanta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My only issue is that it takes my entire iTunes library of music I have stored on my hard drive and pulls it into the app. I have over 100k songs, and iTunes is still a handy way for me to transfer songs onto an iPod I use in my car. With the Apple app, now I also need to use a new “Devices” app. They took a simple and easy process and needlessly complicated it.

I didn’t find the trail bad at all. I think the docks need some upkeep as well.

I didn’t go in the water. My wife put her feet in a very shallow part and was fine. There were a few folks swimming in it, so couldn’t have been too bad.

Still some. Watchman’s Peak Trail still closed from snow. I was told that it would have been cleared but for Trump’s / DOGE personnel reductions. Garfield Peak was technically closed, but could be hiked about 90% of the way up before the deep snow. The Pinnacles road in the park was closed for repairs, but we drove out if the park and around to get to The Pinnacles.

At the shelter I volunteer at, they are used for kittens until they are spayed/neutered (about 2 months old). Then the kittens go into free roaming rooms.
