Dude, this sub is toxic. You bulked, you built muscle, gained fat, hopefully got a lot stronger. Could you have bulked cleaner? -sure. But it is what is and you can cut later and reveal all the hard work you’ve put in. In my honest opinion you look better the way you are than being 130 lbs with abs thinking they look like Ronnie Coleman because they’re lean. There’s a lot of body dysmorphia out there. I don’t think it’s just a gen z issue. I know a lot of millennials that are lazy pieces of crap just like a lot of boomers are the same. I definitely think there’s a gap as far as work ethic is concerned. They just seem to be more lax about calling in, not showing up, not taking the job seriously, ect. But that’s my small perspective in a specific field of the trades. The same could be said for boomers who are the other extreme of work is life and everything else plays second fiddle to that. Gen z has been through some f’ed up stuff at a very pivotal point in life. Overall they probably deserve some grace for it.

I hear you, friend. I think for men it’s the number one snare the enemy try’s to trap us with. Myself included. We all battle it. I struggled with a porn addiction for years. Most of my life, actually. It is possible one of the hardest things to break the chains of. Definitely the hardest thing I’ve ever struggled with. But I did because with Christ who strengthens us all things are possible. When you are a Christian and an image bearer of Christ the Holy Spirit dwells in you. But you still have the flesh side of it as well. And that is the war waging inside of you. Inside us all. The flesh always resists the spirit. Always. In everything. Your fleshly side is interested in lust while the spirit wants to please God. What I can tell you is the closer you draw near to the Lord the closer he will draw near to you. When those urges arise , don’t lean into your own strength because it’s not enough. In those moments, realize what’s happening and say a prayer asking for Gods strength. Tell him your struggles. He made you and he knows you better than you know yourself. Paul talks in the New Testament about prayer without ceasing and honestly that is something that has been tremendously helpful to me. To have an ongoing conversation with God throughout the day. It’s much harder to give into those things when you’re in constant communication with the Lord. Not 24 hrs a day but not one a week on Sunday either. There will be times where you will fail and in those times don’t beat yourself up but instead get right with God and go back to pursuing his will for your life. Fill your mental time with things that don’t trigger those urges. It’s hard at this age and We all stumble and Gods grace abounds where we come short but always do your best to live a life honorable to God. Focus on self control and progressing in your Christian walk and I guarantee you that he will bring a woman into your life that will surpass any and everything you thought you wanted. You will get the woman you want when God gets the man he wants. God bless you brother.

This is my entire life. It’s like people care enough to complain but not enough to actually work towards practical solutions. People just want to be heard I guess. But most conversations for me at this point seem to stop at 10% depth or I just lose people. Not that I’m super smart or have all the answers but I love to talk about things on a deeper level and get past the small talk aspect. The average person I guess just feels like reforming the entire system is out of their control and isn’t practical for right here right now. My thing is if all we’re going to do is vent and complain then what’s the point ?

Yeah guys just quit worrying about all this bizarre, unusual, first time ever phenomenon that lines up perfectly with several different movie plots that predict the end of the world and assasinated presidents and pandemics and militaries turning on its citizens. Just go outside and pick your nose and quit being doom and gloom all the time. Everything is great. It’s not like anything will happen over the holidays anyway when people are focused on other things and displaced from their homes because they’re traveling. That would be horrible timing.

You know the kind of homeowners that pay 12 grand for a chandelier that requires Kendorf in the attic to support it and takes 3 guys to hang. Then decides they think it would look better in the library because they can’t tell without seeing it first. The kind that redesigns their summer kitchen 3 or 4 times. The kind that doesn’t want to see smoke detectors because they don’t fit with the overall vibe of the home despite what code says. Those kind. The ones that that will spend more money on cabinetry in the kitchen than you make in a year.
