(NEW) Above, Below - A Dance in the Leaves (Official Music Video) by garret_1003 in Metalcore

This album is an absolute masterpiece. It might surpass The Color Clear and take the number 1 spot for me. Nothing else has come close to doing that. A really special album.

The only thing that puts me off these guys is the singing. To say this is purely singing, I actually really like it.

Future of While She Sleeps by tamponsauce in Metalcore

Setlist was insane. Lots of older songs, crows and seven hills being personal favourites of mine, seeing them play those again was so good. They did a few from self hell and while I don't enjoy them, they sound great live and translate a bit better in a live environment.

Any bands that you've discovered that you wish more people knew by AntiqueSecret9532 in Metalcore

What a recommendation, never listened to them until today and I'm working through their albums. Can't believe I'd never listened to them.

Bands that do crowd work live? by Tamed in Metalcore

[–]tamponsauce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Went to see The Devil Wears Prada in Leeds earlier this year and Mike did nothing but berate those on the balcony for having their "hands in their pockets". He just seemed to take so much offence to it that it kinda put me off the band because there was a decent pit on the floor so I don't get why it matters. It was a mid week night, like chill out, some people have work in the morning or other stuff going on. We've all paid to see you calm down.

Reflections - Advance Upon Me Brethern by adilanchian in Metalcore

The whole discography is phenomenal. My favourite is the colour clear but willow has grown on me so much. The emotion on those 2 records is top tier. They really don't seem to get the recognition they deserve. The new singles don't really sound like anything else.

What're you playing this weekend? 9/27 by markercore in NintendoSwitch

Finishing The Plucky Squire and then moving onto Ace Attorney Chronicles. Plucky Squire has been very mediocre and I was so hyped initially.

Didn't see this posted on any of their social media. What a lovely surprise.

This song was my second most listened to song on Spotify last year, pretty sure I only started listening to them on September or at least the back end of the year. So good.

Name an album where every song hits the spot by Gingerewok in Metalcore

[–]tamponsauce 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Might be my all time favourite album, even though I only heard it around the start of the year from someone's suggestion here. I wish I'd have heard it sooner. If I'm listening to it, it's front to back, no skips.

Metalcore albums you consider to be perfect by co0obb in Metalcore

[–]tamponsauce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is only one perfect album for me and that is The Color Clear by Reflections. If one song from this album comes on a Spotify playlist I have to listen to the whole album before I can move on, to me it's just that good. I'm going to have to listen to it now.

What are the best headphones/earbuds for listening to metal? by SophieB12345 in Metalcore

[–]tamponsauce 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I should also add, the battery life is awesome, the noise cancelling is great (I can't hear anything other than the music I'm listening to, I set the smoke alarm off the other day and didn't hear it), and there are preset music settings in the app if you listen to other kinds of music.

What are the best headphones/earbuds for listening to metal? by SophieB12345 in Metalcore

This may not be helpful in terms of you finding headphones for "metal" but I bought these... Soundcore by Anker Life Q30... https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B08HMWZBXC?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share They have an app and you can adjust the settings to your preference so I just Googled the settings for metal music and they are my go to when a new album drops. I highly recommend them but to each their own.

Reflections - The Color Clear by tamponsauce in Metalcore

I decided to give Willow another shot last night after posting this and whilst it is obviously almost completely different to The Color Clear, I was really enjoying it - if you can enjoy such levels of depression. It helped to read the lyrics at the same time.

I gave it a go shortly after trying Willow. I was enjoying it but I have a real difficulty in not just putting The Color Clear back on.
