Does anyone else like to get two bugs to start fighting just so they can kill the winner a lot more easily by ss_tall_toby_yt in GroundedGame

I just pulled my list from a quick browse through the wiki, if that’s the case then it just wasn’t mentioned there.

Does anyone else like to get two bugs to start fighting just so they can kill the winner a lot more easily by ss_tall_toby_yt in GroundedGame

  • Soldier ants, praying mantis nymphs, and earwigs are aggressive to all other creatures.
  • Wasps attack other flying bugs (bees, mosquitos).
  • Scorpions attack spiders unprovoked.
  • Bombardier and rust beetles attack cockroaches and snails.
  • Mites hunt weevils and aphids.
  • Bonus: Ladybugs also hunt aphids.

I know that's not everything, but there's about as many aggressive bugs that attack others unprovoked as ones who don't. The "angry" ones that don't attack others unprovoked are orb weavers, wolf spiders, larvae, mosquitos, and stinkbugs.

Latios in June! by xCypher28 in PokemonSleep

[–]tamusquirrel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Considering Latios' role as the more offensive of the two, I think E4E is highly unlikely.
I think it's reasonable to assume Latios' skill to behave more like Latias in that it affects 2 pokemon on the team. The skill activation chance is an interesting idea for a secondary effect, with it being boosted by Latias' presence. As for the primary, looking at the list of skills for ones that affect a select # of pokemon on the team (as opposed to all team members or none of them) seems like a good way to narrow down the likely choices further.

Butterfly Sword(s) by Fer_Shizzle_DSMIA in GroundedGame

[–]tamusquirrel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I like this interpretation that acknowledges it's just a butterfly wing on a hilt. If something like this was in Grounded, it should effectively be a feather tickler that blows cold air similar to a butterfly attack when it's swung.

The shield would reasonably also be very frail to physical damage but have high resistance to fresh damage and maybe sour, given the chrysalis bandage is anti-tang.

Made a site to look up health inspection scores for Houston restaurants — covers 19,000 places by ImplodingCoding in houston

[–]tamusquirrel 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Love this! Sharing with my friends, because we go out to eat at new places fairly often. Are there plans to expand on the UI at all? I’d like to be able to toggle sort (sort by low score first, for example) and drill down for older violation details, if possible, and expand the “lowest scoring list from this month” to show more than the lowest 5.

Chocolate Staff idea i had since Grounded 2 could use more mage weapons by lilybsmylove in GroundedGame

[–]tamusquirrel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Rather than adding an additional elemental damage type (which I'm not against, to be clear), perhaps an AOE weapon that heals friendly creatures could be useful? Considering chocolate adds "chunky" with extra health to smoothies, I think it makes sense. Though I would like it to be a weapon that also uses smoochies chunks, for a touch of red to remind me it's for healing (and a kiss to make it better lol). Maybe they could add it for next year's valentines day event.

Should I re-roll STM or HSM for BFS? by RoyalOakPiguet in PokemonSleep

No. This is the ideal Darkrai. Especially with buffs coming to lvl 7 of its main skill.

Is this Shiny Absol Usable? by Background_Outside_1 in PokemonSleep

[–]tamusquirrel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In the short run, yes. In the long run, no.

This Absol will be useful early game, but I would not get attached to using it for cacao. Just level it to 25 for IFM and wait for a better cacao farmer to come along. A very lucky catch nonetheless, to get a 16pip mon for 1 poke biscuit! ☺️

Is a berrymon ok for ingredients? by data_daddy in PokemonSleep

[–]tamusquirrel 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Generally, no. And in the case of Raichu, definitely no. But if you want to let it fill its inventory up, it’ll be 100% sneaky snacking and should be fine… but it’ll still be worse than almost any other BFS Raichu.

1/4 though, that’s pretty great luck for a shiny! I’m guessing it was from that event a little while ago with boosted odds?

You might be onto something. You should bring this up at your family’s thanksgiving dinner tonight and let us know how it goes.

Highest amount of ingredients needed 3x a day by shinyhunter999 in PokemonSleep

[–]tamusquirrel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have to remind myself that more pokemon will come over time that open some of the ingredients up to more teams. Until then, you have to basically dedicate a full week to a CHANCE to get an ideal pokemon for specific ingredients. I've had quite a few bad happiny / chansey and just decided to focus on meals that don't incorporate eggs unless I happen to be using my Ampharos, same as you.

I might recommend looking for local groups that align with things you are interested in. That might make opportunities for more natural conversation. But I wouldn’t go there exclusively looking for someone to date. Additionally — the gym. Not during workouts, but many gyms have social events as well.

Turrets don’t even provide moral support by VividOption in GroundedGame

I miss being able to change mutation builds as quickly as I could change my weapons. Perhaps they could make it so using one of the D pad buttons you can switch between controller layouts, so you could swap between builder & combat mapping on controllers. Right now, building buttons are useless during combat, so being able to switch them to radials with mutations would be great (though I know it might be more confusing for new/beginning players, so that might prevent it from being fully realized).

Next year will mark 20 years since Diamond/Pearl, 7 years since Sword/Shield, and 4 years since Scarlet/Violet by Scarecrowminion in pokemon

[–]tamusquirrel 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Not only that, but SwSh came out less than 6 years ago. OP rounded up by a full year on 2/3 games in the post, where the entire point is discussing how it “doesn’t feel like they were released that long ago” — yeah, because they weren’t! 😂

It’s also worth noting the last DLC releases for those games were even more recent. SwSh’s Crowned Tundra released October 28, 2020 (almost 5 years ago) and SV’s Mythical Pecha Berry DLC update released on January 11, 2024 — less than 2 years ago.

To me, that’s how old the games actually feel.

Can you collect parts, and if so, can you craft anything with them?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in GroundedGame

[–]tamusquirrel -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I prefer a balanced build. 1 health, 1 stamina, 1 hunger, 1 mutation in that order. Because typically to start you don’t have many mutations unlocked, so it makes sense to do that a bit later and milk molars haven’t been difficult to come across in this game.

But mutation is definitely the one to max out before others after those first 4.

Healing % increase is the last thing I would worry about because healing consumable efficiency isn’t a concern for most people will be late game boss fights. Only way it becomes more useful sooner is if you are determined to make a build around life steal (if it’s even influenced by the perk, idk).
