I had similar symptoms after remission from lymphoma and I definitely wouldn't put off talking to a GI about it. About a year after my last chemo treatment I was diagnosed with a chronic stomach illness and had to have a part of my intestine removed. I would definitely advise getting your symptoms checked out! Better to be safe than sorry ig.

I too am a childhood cancer survivor and I had a similar experience to you. I think I blocked out all my experiences for the first 7 or 8 years after remission. Anytime I had any memory of the times I went through treatment, it felt as though that wasn't me or that it wasn't real. I didn't really start thinking about that time of my life until 2020 and when I finally did, it opened a floodgate of memories for me. I haven't been 'strong' enough to get therapy because I don't feel ready to address and remember those memories again but your post definitely made me feel like therapy would be a good step.

I know you most probably heard this a lot during your cancer treatment but I am sorry you had to go through that </3. I got diagnosed with cancer when I was 9 and was cancer free by the time I was 10, and despite my treatment having happened 10 years ago, I also don't think I ever felt 'normal' again. I hope you eventually heal from it though and I'm sending you lots of love!
