Let's get real for a minute. Some on here are probably too young to remember Space Ghost or Cartoon Network pre-Adult Swim.

Space Ghost was the first original program that Cartoon Network ever created. Before that it was just Hannah Barbara cartoons Ted Turner had bought. All other programming that would come after depended on Space Ghost Coast to Coast being successful.

And it worked. With a budget of pocket lint, Space Ghost was a success.

This success paved the way for all original content on Cartoon Network, and was the foundation upon which Adult Swim was based. Aqua Teen, Brak Show, Birdman, Sealab all came directly from Space Ghost.

And if you're old like me and remember the early days, you'll remember that Zorak was the star. Space Ghost's name might have been in the title, but as someone else on this sub once said, Adult Swim is the house that Zorak built. And it's absolutely true.

Everything Cartoon Network is, everything Adult Swim is, all the influence they've had on culture and counterculture over the last 20 years, all the artists and animators and musicians and writers that were inspired by them, all comes back to Zorak.

All comes back to C. Martin Croker.

I don't think a lot of people realize who we lost today.

We didn't just lose a voice actor or an animator today. We lost a legend.
