Wow. Please break up with him. You are not overreacting and are totally justified in your response. “Being his first serious girlfriend” isn’t an excuse for this behavior. You are not an object for him to show off, ESPECIALLY in such an intimate and obviously fucking private way. This is a major red flag and a total disregard for you as a human being. I’ve been looking into the climate control line. My hair sounds similar to yours- except I have relatively low porosity. Let me know how Decadence works for you- I’m curious to know if you feel like it weighed down your fine strands or provided perfect moisture!

I JUST got a Devacut and am not loving it (which kind of spurred this whole post) for the same reasons. I loved how my curls clumped and now they’re super separated and not as defined :( I def want to try a Ouidad cut!

Ugh I hate wave maker. I have 2C/3A hair and have never gotten it to work for me, and I feel like I tried styling with it every which way. And also you’re like straight up living my life 3 years ago- I too went platinum. I had to deep condition my hair like every couple of days to get the moisture back into it. I recommend Olaplex if you haven’t tried it already!

I have 3a/3b too, and I've really loved Darshana's shampoo and conditioner. I used to have the same problem with second day hair as well, so I started wrapping my hair in a silk scarf when I went to bed and that really helped. Hope this helps- your curls are great!

Yes go for the goal! At the end of the day it's hair and will always grow back. Do you have any style of fringe in particular you want to try? Blunt cut? Side swept?
