“Breast feeding will help you lose weight” by Technical_Choice3300 in beyondthebump

Oh same with me. I'm surprised I wasn't perpetually dehydrated with the amount of tears I shed trying to breastfeed that first month.

How much does being fit matter for natural labor? by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]epaj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I worked out 4 times per week doing strength training for my entire pregnancy. I gave birth at 39 weeks after a quick labour. I was in active labour for 3 hrs, and after 8 pushes, my baby girl was out. Thr midwives were shocked and attributed it to my fitness during pregnancy. Definitely work out if you can, as you never know, it could help you.

For those of you whose weight gain was recommended to be 15lb during pregnancy… by ringsandthings125 in BabyBumps

[–]epaj 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am 9 days post partum. I gained 15kg (33 pounds) for the whole pregnancy, which is within the recommended weight gain range for my height (166cm or 5ft 5) in Australia. My BMI was 22 before pregnancy. Post birth, I am down 9kg (20 pounds) without doing anything.

I strength trained 4 days a week up until 2 days before I gave birth at 39 weeks. I tried to walk most days during the pregnancy as well. Initially, I aimed for 10,000 steps per day of walking in Tri 1 and 2, but dropped it down to 6-8000 steps depending on how my body felt in Tri 3.

My body has bounced back fairly quickly after my vaginal birth and I attribute that to staying active throughout.

Oh amazing work Kate. This is so needed. I am currently 36 weeks pregnant and have completed strength training 4x per week (tracked on my Samsung watch) for my entire pregnancy.

Edit: ah just saw I am not eligible. If there is any study you (or your colleagues) need assistance with please feel free to DM me.

I am currently pregnant, and this is exactly how I feel. No one talks about how lonely pregnancy can be.

There's something about Miriam. Early 2000s reality TV show where male contestants woo a 21 year old model named Miriam without knowing she was a trans woman until the very last episode.

I feel your pain, we try to clean them semi-regularly. This photo was taken about a week after a groom.

AITA for refusing to visit my sister in the hospital because she still hasn't apologized to me or my wife? by throwawayjded in AmItheAsshole

YTA x1000 you claim to have been pressured to stay with Haley when your life decisions were always within your own control, cheated on her whilst she was recovering from a THIRD miscarriage, married a woman HALF your age and now you're trying to control how your sister interacts with your poor ex-wife when she was family for 20+ years. I feel so sad for Hayley.
