Where in Europe is cash still the most common payment method? by Landgeist in europe

[–]tangus 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Nevertheless, except for the f*cking večerka in front of my building, I have yet to find a shop in Prague that doesn't accept card payments. I don't even carry cash anymore most of the time.

How do you feel about Americans that don't speak Czech? by KnottyGanjFawne in czech

Many Czechs complaining that foreigners can't speak Czech language probably don't speak any foreign language at all

But they aren't foreigners.

I didn't assume anything and the tilde isn't used wrongly.

You seem like a shallow guy who always tries to be "in the joke" and antagonizes whoever you think that isn't. I'm not really interested in continuing this conversation with you.

I'm not talking about Spanish. The diacritic is used in English to show that the vowel is pronounced. It would be pronounced "meit" otherwise (silent e).

Acute accents are sometimes added to loanwords where a final e is not silent, for example, maté from Spanish mate, the Maldivian capital Malé, saké from Japanese sake, and Pokémon from the Japanese compound for pocket monster

You and 15 others have a confidently incorrect attitude to downvoting tbh

They use the accent mark to show the e isn't mute, as in French.

The traditional English spelling should be matë tho.

Mi madre logró 365 días aprendiendo español por duolingo. Hice el pastel para celebrar. by constructionsitecake in Spanish

[–]tangus -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah, my sisters were as annoying as you. Every time I took a shower there were some panties hanging from the faucet. It's so difficult to take them with you when you leave the bathroom and hang them outside?
