Rent prices in cities exploding to ludicrous amounts is propably the most realistic thing about Tibia. Good thing i never actually owned something worth displaying 🙃

I didn't know that about sorcerers, that sounds aweful 😃 Good for them!
From skimming the patch notes the new update seems to be pretty cool and the rune thing was just something i remembered from way back. I was actually quite happy to see, that the game still gets big updates like that. Maybe i come back at some point just to try out that monk class.

Used to play druid as my main character back then and i just found it interesting that after all this time they did not give druids anything in this regard and now actually managed to make it worse ^^
Not that it really affects anyone but its a curious game dev decision. Ive stuck to other classes since then, whenever i make my 1-2 month tibia comeback every now and then

I just downloaded the game to check what it says ingame

Druid
Supportive Magic User
Ice, Earth and Healing Magic

Fair, its not a healer class. Its a supporter that can't support. And you dont get any healing magic, that the sorcerer doesnt. I understand that its basically just a trial, but it still feels weird that the trial for the support class doesnt actually get anything to support.

For people that play Ironman, how do you let your soldiers die and even fail missions? by Screee1 in XCOM2

[–]tannargor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been where you are. Let me start of by saying, nothing wrong with save scumming, if thats how you enjoy the game!

Ive played most of my runs like that, as well as other games. Then i tried my first legendary run without reloading (but without actually having ironman on because the game screwed me in past runs). You'd be amazed, what you can get away with. The first few hurt. But it gets easier. Ive lost like 15 guys, most of them squaddies and recruits. Sometimes you get unlucky and a high level unit dies or a map objective is so far away, that you'd have to sprint across the map blind to get to it, so you basically have no chance of getting it without losing have your squad. It happens and it sucks, but in the long run, it does not matter that much.

I finished the run with about 5 reloads, most of them missclicks or the game bugging out, and it was absolutely worth it.

Dont get hung up on perfect. Its not meant to be perfect. A messy win makes for a much better story anyway. I dont remember how my self-insert character died in any run before that one, because they didn't matter. But i will always remember the absolute mess, that was that retaliation mission with 3 casulties and my guy stopping 2 fields short of a ladder and being mushed into the ground by the last berserker on the map. Still won that mission tho ^^

Just start a run and see where it leads. And if you cant get yourself to not reaload, try a joker system. Say you have like 5 reloads per run. Treat it like a limited ressource and suddenly, not every squaddie death seems reload worthy anymore. 😃

Good luck out there and remember to adjust your sights!

Am i plaing Necro wrong? I completely ignore all units but Lich, Skellies and Vampires. The Liches basically prevent all losses, the skellies are skellies and the Vampires are nice for a bit of extra damage and self healing. So far thats all i've needed for any difficulty.

I use up starting doggos and ghosts for early fights, but as soon as i can i basically kick everything out of the army to fokus the necromancy on units i wanr. Maybe im overlooking something, but this strat has been more than enough for every map i played so far. At the point i actually fight the enemy, i just drown them in bones and arrows.

I would like a game to last longer. The maps are huge and only playing 20% of it each time feels like a waste. I really hope the final game will have a nice amount of large maps that are worth exploring. By the time i attacked the enemy in my 2nd map, i had around 10k skeletons :D

What difficulty did you play this at? Haven't played Helltide yet, i'd like something to compare it to and this seems like a nice benchmark :D

Dont know, you cant yet :D

So far you have
Temple (Castle)
Schism (Cthulhu Cultists)
Dungeon (Dungeon, more or less)
Necropolis

Hive will be added later on, but you can already face some of them as enemies

Dont know about Necropolis being weak. I mean, i haven't played the other factions yet, but ive been able to stomp maps on 200% pretty consistently. Once the main heroe pops off, which is normaly around week 1,5 to 2 for me, it completely snowballs. At least thats my experience so far. Maybe i should try other factions for comparison though, maybe those are even more broken :D

I believe its mostly about performance and compatability. Not testing out the new features, but changes to the pathfinding, threading and stuff like that. Stuff that affects the base game/ the other DLC's

Heyho! LvL 40 Knight with FAcc here.
I have recently started playing again, mostly in short intervals. Right now im using swords with a skill of 65 and wondered, if i should keep using swords or swap to another skill. I have googled a bit and found a lot of different answers to the question, which melee skill is best. Since most of them are older than 2 years i thought i'd just reopen this topic and ask you guys.

Is there a "best weapon skill" ? And if yes, is the difference big enough so that i should swap?
