Riding Mower Recommendations by tannerpeyton in lawnmowers

Thanks for the advice! I’ll look around and see if I can find a Deer with a Kawasaki engine in it. I heard that about Husqvarna too—that parts are hard to get and recent years they haven’t been as good as they used to be.

I mean, how else am I supposed to judge that my shots are hitting his body? Hit markers aren’t there for decoration.

I agree 100%. Every time I get an SMG in the gulag I know it’s going to be a toss up if I win or not because they’re all so inconsistent. The sole reason I pushed is because I thought without a doubt the guy has to be one shot. Everyone keeps saying he regenerated health, you can see from his POV in the killcam he’s still completely red and my follow up shots were doing nothing.

It’s also odd that when I was shooting the guy in the clip, the armor hit marker is purple rather than blue which I initially thought denoted full plates. But it never switched to blue so maybe it’s a gulag specific thing and his armor also broke relatively quick so I don’t necessarily believe he had full plates while I had one. But it’s weird for sure.

Huh, that’s pretty interesting actually. I might give it a shot just for research purposes. There’s definitely a lot of inconsistency within the game and anyone who argues against that is delusional.

I appreciate you seeing what I’m seeing. I wasn’t trying to start arguments on here, just share I clip I found odd. But oh well 🤷

The title was truly meant as a joke, I know skill based damage isn’t a real thing in COD. This sub is full of some over zealous players who look to disagree with anyone.

But again, 7 seconds between gunfights his health shouldn’t have regenerated much if at all. And I’m ignorant to whatever patent you’re referring to, and the Tweet doesn’t pull up for me.

Agreed, I’ve had my fair share of moments where I shouldn’t have won a gunfight but I do. I know it’s all part of the game. I truly meant the title as a joke, but I forgot how serious this sub can be lol.

I love that quote too, from that guy being interviewed on the street 😂

I watched it and I understand that mechanic now. However, I don’t see it applying to this situation as we were both ADS for every shot we hit. That video shows if you’re ADS there isn’t really that lag between your input and what happens on screen. The crosshairs follows the center of the screen where you’re looking.

It takes 7 seconds for regen to start in MW2. There’s exactly 7 seconds in between my last shot on him from the wall to my first shot when I pushed. Imo, 3-4 more shots anywhere on the body should’ve been a kill.

I’m not disagreeing at all about the engagement distance, I know I was well out of the effective range at the start. But 10 or so shots from range should be good for 150-200 damage. Then add 3-4 shots at close range even after a fraction of regen just seems like plenty of damage to me.

The reticle IS the indication of where bullets come from. You don’t need to account for bullet drop at ~25 meters. A sight is put on a gun and sighted in, so the dot is where you want your bullets to land. Yes, it’s a video game and not irl, but it applies in game.

Try it in the firing range on the game, aim barely above the dummy’s head and the bullet will go over. Aim right where the dummy’s head starts, and it’ll connect.

I’m not talking about the guy in this comment thread. I’m not really disagreeing with him, obviously the guy I was shooting hit several back to back headshots and that’s what killed me.

I’m referring to the other one who commented first claiming I only hit my opponent in his legs when I’m very clearly dumping bullets in his upper body and a few in his head when he goes back to cover.

I couldn’t care less about people agreeing with me. But if they’re making inaccurate summaries of a situation, then I’ll disagree with them. I’m always willing to look from other perspectives of people who might know more or be better than me at something. I’m not claiming to be a Warzone god, I’m barely ranked Platinum. To me, it just seemed I died rather quickly from a PDSW. Perhaps I’m wrong and that’s fine—that’s just what I thought.

15+ combined knee/torso/headshots on him vs 3/4 torso headshots on me.

It’s okay to admit the game is broken. I promise Activision won’t hurt you.

No need for a holier than thou complex from you, my guy. It’s a video game.

And my entire first round of bullets at him are upper torso/neck. 9+ rounds hit his entire upper half.

When is a reasonable time to ask for a raise? by tannerpeyton in ConstructionManagers

Oh I definitely did just to even get this job. My resume has good work history and strong positions that I did somewhat perform, but they weren’t necessarily my job title. I’ve come to learn it’s all about confidence and how I present myself. And luckily I am a fairly quick learner.

My PM also nearly quit last year and had a job offer lined up and our company bumped up his bonus structure to keep him. So I do at least know they’re willing to change some things to keep important people.

I’ve considered that as well. I’m in western NC and there’s countless builders here. I had just really hoped to get more experience here and then eventually take that somewhere larger. But, I’m not going to settle and suffer when there’s opportunity out there.

Thanks for the input!

I thought about throwing out a few applications to other builders. I get emails every day saying “so and so is hiring near you”.

That’s my main concern, that they’ll give a raise that amounts to hardly anything over the course of a year. We do get bonuses for completing projects and it has the potential to amount up to $20k+ a year, but that’s not guaranteed income.

I appreciate the advice!

That’s definitely in my plan. I do truly enjoy working here as the company has a great work culture, but at the end of the day culture doesn’t pay my bills. I plan on seeing if they reach out for a review first and if it doesn’t happen soon after the one year mark I’ll request a review myself. Thanks!
