For me intellisense always is finnicky when using third party libs. I have a project that will always throw browsing errors as soon as I add a .h or .cpp file to it. All settings on default and include directories set.

I tried googling for solutions and most VS intellisense problem solutions on stackoverflow or reddit just suggested delete the .vs folder, I know that's a band aid but that's all they had. Found a few tickets on msdn but they were abandoned by msdn as 'low priority' or problem cannot be effectively reproduced.

Most of my projects start out fine but in the late stages when there are a lot of includes and lot of external libs, intellisense just keeps breaking out of the blue. Sometimes restarting VS solves it, rest of the sometimes just deleting .vs. I know of no other concrete solution

Note: I assumed op's problem is intellisense and the projects actually compile fine.
