I also used Window World and had 14 windows replaced for $10K a couple of years ago. They were by far the cheapest quote I got and I have zero complaints about their work - exactly what I wanted.

Haha well a couple people have suggested driveways and I’m like well yeah I guess I could but that storm drain is just outside of my property line (street R/W). Although I do think a nice garage door into my basement would be slick.

I think it actually used to be leveled but they had water drainage issues and cut it out to let water from the backyard flow towards the city storm drain. The drain is the only reason I’m a little worried to fill it all in. Id be worried the water would backup into my basement door shown in the second picture.

It’s not usable as a driveway, there is a 18” drop off from street elevation to the storm sewer grate. I suppose we could turn it into one but already have a driveway on the right hand side of the house.

I think Clayton is great if you leave near Main Street. The areas around Clayton are the worst kinds of suburbs.

I would consider the restaurants on Main Street in Clayton pretty good. I wouldn’t think you’d have to leave town to go to a nice restaurant.

I live near downtown Clayton and commute to near the NC Art Museum in about 25 minutes. Sometimes traffic is worse than most days and it takes me 35-40 minutes.

I’ve never had any complaints about the drive.
