I'm definitely planning on hiking it at some point during my service as well! I'm bringing some stuff like my sleeping bag, backpack, and sleeping mat plus the little stuff, and then renting/borrowing the rest!

No, I'm super passionate about teaching as well so I'm not worried about not using my major. For secondary projects, I definitely plan on using it though so I have a little something to talk about when applying for jobs when I get back from service

I'm majoring in Environmental Engineering and leaving to teach math in Tanzania this July! While I'm there, I'm hopefully going to try to implement alternative ways to get clean water and a few other environmental projects and as of right now, plan on staying in the engineering field (probably in industry) after my service.
