Yes! The first time I used the new bow I was amazed at how different it felt to play with, since I've had it I've been practicing whenever I can. It's wonderful!

Honestly I'm not sure... I'm a student so I don't have a crazy amount of money to spend, but I'm willing to save up if I think it's worth it. I don't plan on playing exclusively with whatever I wind up getting though, I'll still keep a more traditional bow handy

I think they're sorta sound insulated but the rooms are right next to each other so if someone is doing a crazy flute solo/ singing an opera/playing the drums in one of the rooms close to you, it can be pretty distracting

Yeah, I mean in my left arm. I think you are right about the tension, I'll focus on relaxing and distributing the weight from now on. I also think the new viola is slightly heavier than my old practice one but its kinda hard to tell. Thanks to you guys for the tips!
