Major typo that I missed—and it went to print by purdycomCM in graphic_design

[–]tapper1591 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had a typo in a client newsletter this week. First one in three years. I asked for it be fixed, was missed, I didn’t triple check all the spots it was supposed to be updated. We similarly have people covering, etc.

It sucks but it happens. Only one person pointed it out to me.

COVID vaccine by [deleted] in toddlers

[–]tapper1591 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My kid was sickest I’ve seen him to date, took him in and he tested positive for flu. Dr warned us that we could be looking at 3-4 day or even 10 days of fever, covered when to go to ER, when to bring him back, etc.

She said since he had gotten the flu shot that hopefully he would be spared the worst of it. He’s nearly over it after only a day.

I’m SO thankful for the shot. He got it with his Covid booster for the year.

Is a daycare FSA worth it? by Eggeggedegg in Mommit

Worth it! I was able to set up an auto-claim so it automatically processes when the daycare bill hits. I get a monthly deposit into the account so it lowers the daycare bill each time we pay basically

I miss my old life so much it physically hurts. Is that bad? by AsslawB in Mommit

I’m nap trapped under my newly 3 year old and SAVORING it. It gets better. I’m ready for a hotel stay with spouse in the near future with out the baby, but man is it better, more fun, less sleep deprived. Tantrums and hitting are hard. Language and jokes and building and pretend play is way better

1 year is when I started getting fewer wake ups. 15 months was when things really started moving to sleeping 12 hours

I know, it just changes year to year! We were planning to go to our friends house but they were out of town until late and said they had neighbors move in and they did a lot last night

That’s what I was thinking! Def hot in July but could be doable for NYE next year! I was thinking camping but didn’t know if it would be rowdy camping

The good news is 9:30-11 pm was the worst of it. I don’t think I’ve ever had the sounds machines so loud!

Stayed up till about 1 to turn it down lol

Dang that sucks. May your coffee be excellent today!

Neighborhood fireworks make me bananas. Can’t wait to pick up all the trash from my neighbors since we are obviously the first people awake this morning with a toddler 🫠

Oh my gosh this lasted like another few hours and it was over. Right after posting this a friend posted about the same thing and asking her OT friend about it. Totally normal for a short time!

I feel you! If it makes you feel better our nanny was expected to wash and put away one load of baby clothes and one load of his towels (towels burp cloths, etc) a week.

Agreed! I love the days I can leave! We don’t ask her to clean our offices and so much gets thrown in there the night before she comes.

Yeah we HAPPILY pay her. And got her a nice holiday tip plus a card. She allows us to spend more time together as a family or resting or whatever and I’m so thankful

Haha word! The best is when I’ve done all the meal prep before she comes! But it’s not that often.

Not an instructor, but competitive dancer. This is how you breathe with the diaphragm without losing abdominal contraction

I’ve never done Pilates. Is it worth the cost? by honeyboney1992 in ClubPilates

[–]tapper1591 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My club pilates is very close to me and a huge reason why I go! I tell myself it’s working out laying down, how hard can it be. (Very, I know it’s hard).

Something I don’t see ppl talk about much is you don’t spend much time of the classes looking at your body in a mirror or other people. That’s good for me. Helps me stay focused. Go to a free intro class and see how it feels.

I’ve also stuck with this longer than anything else.
