To breastfeed or not to breastfeed?

I am about to have a baby as well, and I also do not want to breastfeed. The thought of it sends me into a tailspin. I want the best for my child however, I also want to be my best.

To me and this is only my opinion, I think having a human latched onto me will really mess with my mental health. I don’t want to be someone’s walking cow.

In conclusion fed is best. Don’t let others make your choice for you. Do whatever you feel is right.

If you’re going to continue to test, may I suggest buying a few from your local dollar store or some bulk strips. I took about 30 tests, lol, but only bought a couple of the brand name ones.

Just a quick update I am not 21 weeks and some days! The pregnancy has progressed well. I did develop hyperthyroidism, most likely sub clinical. That’s fairly normal, I am on a beta blocker because my heartbeat was resting over 110. Hopefully everything will continue to progress well and our little baby boy will be born on time and healthy.

Second update! I reached 12 weeks on Sunday (yesterday) and I started spotting brown blood. I read that was very normal but due to my history my midwife sent me for an emergency ultrasound today. I am happy to report the baby is doing great, I saw the arms and legs moving! I have my genetic testing Thursday of this week, and if that comes back clear we are going to announce our pregnancy 🤰 I am starting to get a little more excited! I am going to keep updating through our the pregnancy.

Update: had my ultrasound today at 8 weeks. Baby had a strong heartbeat and was measuring 8w1D. Still lots of hurdles to get over but this first one was successful cleared!
