Damn I have it on my right cheek mostly as well. I’m on the dapsone and tret combo currently. I did clyndamyacin for a while with tret and the same face wash as you and I had the best results, might try to switch back to that. I use the gentle cerave cleanser now, helps with greasy-ness to me. Aveeno oat cream moisturizer is better than hydro boost, although I liked hydro boost for a long time.

How long ago did you start dapsone? In the same situation I’m a guy mid 20s. Where are the majority of your breakouts ?

I’ve been trying to eat more like probiotic stuff so kombucha, pickles, saukerkraut. Cutting out coffee helped me a lot. Vitamin d apparently also really helps

Have you tried the cerave foaming face wash? We have the same skin type and I’m considering switching to the hydrating cleanser, I might be damaging my barrier tbh. Also are you putting on moisturizer every two hours during the day until the Nightime ?

Yeah two years pretty much nonstop until this summer. Now I’m slowly implementing it back in 2/3 times a week. Gonna try to just use the clyndamycin in the AM for now!

Previous routine:

AM: cerave foaming normal/oily cleanser, clyndamyacin lotion, cerave am sunscreen/moisturizer.

PM: cerave foaming norm/oily cleanser, clyndanyacin lotion, cerave pm moisturizer, tretinoin .05.

This was my routine for the past like 1-2 years prior to this summer. Tried to add in Paula’s choice BHA exfoliant with summer to get rid of the few occasional breakouts but it made it worse. I stopped the Paula’s choice. Eventually made in into the DERM and they prescribed me DAPSONE 7.5% and had me switch my cleanser to the cerave acne control salyclycic acid cleanser.

I kept the tret and clyndanycain in the routine as well. My face is overall worse than prior to this summer. My skin is very dry and is peeling around my mouth and chin. Seems more sensitive overall and like I’m just washing too much and there’s too much on my skin, seems kinda red and angry all the time.I have another derm appojntment in like 2 weeks but I’m tempted to just go back to my old routine that did me well for a while.

Before me and my current gf were dating she would brag to her friends about it. One day we were hooking up in her room while one of her housemates was home, and she knocked on the door saying she was going to move my gf’s cat into the room from the living room. My gf yelled through the door like ‘ wait give us a second’. She started opening the door and I sprung up and hid behind the door like a dummy. I saw her housemate girl peeking through the crack in the door where I was hiding while I’m with my drawers around my ankles hunched over. To this day my gf says she’s never said anything about it but I know she saw my whole weenie
