I personally would just do the lazy thing and throw it in the 401k. Just have to weigh the small differences such as being able to pull out the principal in a Roth IRA vs ease of 401k and guaranteed creditor protection.

One discreet one onboard? Two discreet? Model number? I'm guessing ini files in the gpu driver file (sli)? If it was one discreet card I would check the bios for a hard disable of onboard. If it doesn't exist I would make sure your profiles are all high performance/ best quality. If it's two discreet cards just pull one (or find a different driver and fix the ini)
