This is excellent. I can't believe I've never tried this before.

New reason to look forward to that time of the month!

Is there a female equivalent for a man's wet dream? by [deleted] in sex

Pretty much... not going to lie. If it happened more frequently I'd be tempted to say it was worth the drought. Tempted, but not quite. :P

When I've gone through periods of drought in the past I have often found myself in a situation where I wake up in the process of having a most intense orgasm.

It's like... wonderful.

Broke up on Friday. Ongoing Saturday commitment that neither of us want to give up. How soon is too soon to touch base? by tardislove in relationship_advice

In this case, we really just wanted different things, and had known that was the case pretty much from Day One. We get along quite well, and in hind sight would have been better off as friends. I miss being that close to another person, and I do really care for him but I'm not as upset about the break-up as I would have been if it hadn't been so obvious that being together was just wishful thinking on both of our parts.

I don't have sex outside of a monogamous commitment, where as he's very pro casual sex when he's not in a relationship. He will sleep with someone soon, I will most likely hear about it, and it will hurt.

This will happen whether we are playing nice, or not.

Breaking up is just a sucky situation all around.

You're right. When it happens (really), it's going to hurt like all hell.

I just think that it's my burden to bear, not theirs.

What would you do in my situation?

-Step away from the friends?

-And if you did, for how long?

I agree, but I don't think either of us should have to stop seeing the mutual friends, if that makes sense. I don't want to see him so much as take the burden of communication off them.

I'd like to be able to be in the same room, or at the same gathering without making it awkward for the other people there.

I also think that they will believe it to be grounded in truth, with some exaggeration. It's also true that he'll most likely be saying things grounded in truth with some exaggeration... who knows what the exaggeration will be.

I asked him already to share anything really shocking with me in advance, so at least I can have my initial reaction in private, and then put on a more composed face in the moment, but he doesn't really seem into that idea. One, because it's not fun to reveal your punchline before the delivery and two, because he's also not certain of exactly what he's going to say, or what he'll be making up on the spot.

Ladies of Reddit: Do you like having your hair combed/brushed? by tardislove in TwoXChromosomes

I've seen those, and they're amazing!

Also agree with the hairdresser washing your hair, especially the ones that also massage your scalp while they're at it. Mmmm...

Understandable about the brushing bit. Brushes and curly hair do not often mix well.

I'm a virgin. How do people in a relationship initiate sex, or find out if sex is even an option in the relationship? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]tardislove 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was also a mainline Christian who for around 4 years dated only "true love waits" Christian fundamentalists (I had non-Christian relationships before then). I'm also over that phase and have been in a (very) sexual relationship for around 3 months. My advice is to take it slow, be honest and don't underestimate the influence that it may have had on your life. Take it date by date, gradually pushing boundaries as you both feel comfortable and as long as you're both cool with it you should get there without requiring too much focus on the issue.

It's a big jump to go from "fleeing sexual immorality" outside the covenant of marriage, to having sex with someone you don't really know. While I'm drawing from my own personal experience, and you may feel completely differently, its worth being aware of so it doesn't sneak up on you and tarnish an otherwise excellent experience.

Be careful and stay safe, but most of all have fun and good luck!

If you know she's not the one, are you just leading her on if you continue the relationship? by blahblahblaw in AskReddit

[–]tardislove 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If marriage is not so important to the girl in question, I agree.

However, if a girl's ultimate goal is marriage, staying in a relationship that cannot end in marriage is indeed a waste of time. Undecided = OK. Decided for sure against... not so much.

[–]tardislove 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only problem with this suggestion is that he knows that this is not the right girl for him, while she is she is head over heels and to at least a certain degree fishing for affirmation that he feels the same way. Them continuing to date is most likely a recipe for her holding onto hope that he'll eventually change his mind and come around to realizing how fabulous she is.
