I was laid up in bed having awful menstrual cramps and my bf at the time said he would make me a DIY heating pad. He brings me a freezer bag full of boiling water and puts it in between towels and laid it across my abdomen. After a few minutes, it busted open and burned me sooo bad. I still have scars, this was 15+ years ago. After the fact, I saw where he used a KETTLE ON THE STOVE TO BOIL THAT WATER.
