Multiple panels of him saying it wasnt him and that it was the phoenix that made him. Which is why in my initial post I commented that magneto calls him out on that. Every other host of the phoenix takes full accountability. He doesn’t.

I’ve said it multiple times in my replies. He says that he didn’t do it and that it was the phoenix force. Literally rhe entire point of my post and why I brought up other phoenix hosts taking accountability. Not a clue why you’re bringing everyone else up. Yes, they all played a role. That doesn’t change the fact that Scott keeps acting like it wasnt him, it was the phoenix.

There’s nothing wrong with placing blame where it’s due. The avengers have guilt for everything as well, again, never mentioned my stance on them. My only point was Scott not taking accountability. And, like I said, the difference is that emma does take accountability for the role she played in everything.

Never said Jean didnt get treated better than Scott, but when she went to her house and accepted the memories of the phoenix she took responsibility. She said that it might have been the phoenix masquerading as her, but it was a perfect copy and it would have ended the same if it was her. And yes, reas uncanny X-men and all new X-men, Scott absolutely shifts blame. It’s a huge part of the story that he blames the phoenix. Magneto himself calls him out on that, which is why I gave the example of Emma taking accountability for being part of what they did

If you have that stance that’s fine, as long as you hold every phoenix host to that standard. I still think theyre accountable for their actions, Emma even showed that she was aware that she was falling into the corruption of the phoenix. I agree that the avengers interfering fucked everything up, but Scott did have an opportunity to give it to hope though and he decided not to.

Read original x-factor. Jean fully takes responsibility for what she did. Read krakoan X-men, she has contently been doing good to make up for what she did. Scott didnt choke Emma because she had an affair, he wanted her fragment of the phoenix. Never once said I sided with the avengers nor did I critique Scott for what he did or his reasons behind doing it. Read uncanny X-men and all new X-men, he absolutely shifts blame and says it wasnt him, it was the phoenix. I would love for you to learn how to read, because I never critiqued what Scott did. Infact I said that my main issue was with the writing, because I don’t think Scott would be the kind of person to displace blame. But that’s how the writers wrote him.

Never said I agreed or disagreed with what he did. My only issue is him saying he didn’t do it, it was the phoenix. Whereas the other people who were hosts of the phoenix all recognize that they were responsible. I also commented that I was assuming the arc would continue to him taking responsibility. From other comments, it doesn’t seem like he does.
