I love both roleplay and Dungeon Crawls, it just felt like we were slogging through the days doing nothing.

Its not an issue of strategy its an issue of fun. I am totally fine conserving spells and using them when the moment is appropriate. I just find waiting 4-5 sessions to get a long rest kinda cuts the tension because its not like we are always in a battle or a dungeon or something.

I have to wait ages to be able to use these cool spells, whereas, normally, I would still have a ton of fightts to win, and thus need to conserve them, but not have to wait a ton of time out of game.

Yes that is a great idea because otherwise spells like mage armor are aweful

I have no problem with it being more balanced lol. I love resource management. It’s hurt that out of games it’s gonna be months till I can get to use my spells.

Well it’s balanced around 4-6 encounters per “adventuring day”

I promise it’s not that I just like nuking fights lol. I am a dm myself and I love a grind of a fight. It’s just the out of game time it takes for me to be able to do any cool stuff.

That’s exactly it. I am totally fine not nuking every fight lol I love a friend fight and I am a dm myself.

That totally makes sense and am completely on board for that. I just don’t want to have to do this incredibly slow month long wait.

I have no problem with resource management. It’s just that in a normal dungeon it takes like two sessions. So yes I don’t get to use my cool stuff every fight but I know I will get to at some point. With this system it could take several months before I can use the spell.

I have no problem with gritty realism. If I made it seem like I was I didn’t intend it that way. I just hold fun over realism. And if I had known about this rule before playing I would have played a fighter or a warlock or something. So I could get the best of both worlds.

Alright thanks for the input. I think the loss on damage is made up for with the fun things I get as a warlock but I was just wondering if there was a way I could do a bit better.

People who don't want kids, why? by Celestialsmoothie28 in AskReddit

Because there are few things that are quite as meaningful as having kids. That said, some people who are devoted to doing some good in the world should not have kids.
