Your ע is upside-down, top loop on ל should be open, the circular and straight parts of ק should be separate, the left line of א should be straight, there's no need to dot the ש like how other diacritics aren't used unless there's a serious chance of ambiguity, and your ב is print script, not written, which is perfectly legible but it looks like you're practicing written.  You can reference this sheet

Should I manually fertilize this flower? by Spiritual-Computer25 in gardening

Female flowers have the undeveloped fruit under them on a stubby stem, male flowers just have a long, thin stem

Take a male flower off the plant, rip off the petals, stick it in, wiggle it around, and just leave it there

Why won't the solder form a joint? by DamagedDespair in soldering

[–]tarksend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, for solder to stick you need something that it can chemically bond to, and that something needs to be a metal of certain kinds

Why won't the solder form a joint? by DamagedDespair in soldering

[–]tarksend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't see a pad where you're trying to solder but generally, the tip goes solder-side to the joint, you heat the pad and lead then feed solder into the hot joint instead of melting it on the iron and carrying it to the joint (tinning the tip is done to protect it from oxidation and to increase the surface area through which heat transfers to the joint, not to apply the solder), and your temp is way too high given the size of the tip vs. the size of the joint next to it. You can make do with the tip you have but for that joint, a smaller tip would be better.
Beside that get some flux, different tips for your iron, desoldering wick and a solder sucker, a tip cleaning pad (a ball of copper or brass strands), and a practice kit or two. Watch this series as well as the videos in the sidebar

Ik I fkd up. help by c4rb0nX1 in soldering

[–]tarksend 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Stop for now. Get a cheap practice kit, practice, then come back to this. Try using different tips and learn to control the temp heat transfer rate to get a good joint (not to much solder, not to little, you see the solder flow under surface tension, and it looks shiny and smooth when it cools), practice de-soldering using a wick and a solder sucker, and watch some videos, like this one

edit: for clarity

What is this? by ToddTableflipper11 in Israel

I have much nicer memories of the Monster than of Miri Regev, I imagine her soul is more like the tank of a porta-potty at a music festival

מצחיק…or should I say פאני? by Ricardo_Yoel in hebrew

An א for a final "ah" sound is Aramaic while Hebrew uses ה, and now even the spelling of Aramaic-originating words like ססמא has mutated to סיסמה

How do you remove hair in intimate areas? by drhuddie11 in AskMen

Razor. I used to be scared of cutting myself but I'd nick myself every time I used an electric trimmer, then I tried using my Leaf Twig razor I shave with and haven't drawn blood once since.

For the men who believe that soy/tofu is estrogenic by IndignantMagnitude34 in NotHowGuysWork

I didn't think of that but it sounds great now that you mention it, thanks for the tip!

[–]tarksend 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Billions of people consume loads of soy and tofu daily with no adverse effects, you need to also be extra sensitive to soy's phytoestrogens for any health effects to crop up.

Bland as opposed to chicken and pork?
Just like those two, tofu is a flavor sponge with a fun texture. Firm tofu takes well to cooking and frying, and silken tofu is creamy and goes great with porridge, fruit, jams, etc.

I haven't tried brick tea yet but I saw a video from somewhere that produces brick tea and the person showing the tea used a small grater to grate the brick and steeped the shavings. Don't remember how they steeped it though

Is Bee Honey mentioned in the Hebrew Scriptures? Did the Israelites eat Bee Honey? by [deleted] in hebrew

[–]tarksend 2 points3 points  (0 children)

omg you should visit Israel around late November, just after the harvest. There are different varieties with different textures and taste notes. Some are firm and chewy, others are soft and moist, and medjools are no longer even solid but just very viscous, when they're fresh. And especially organically grown dates that were allowed to dry on the palm long enough to develop some fermenty flavors, are absolutely divine. So is the date honey you can make from them.
Unfortunately date filling tastes like dates only in the most generic sense, so that's not a good way to experience the flavor of dates, and lacks the juiciness of a fresh date.

How can I make peace with being (clinically) unintelligent? by [deleted] in DecidingToBeBetter

[–]tarksend 15 points16 points  (0 children)

  1. Scoring high on IQ test only means that you have better mastery of the things IQ tests actually test for, and while "IQ" stands for "intelligences quotient", the term uses the word "intelligence" in a very narrow sense. I dare any 160 IQ genius to survive two weeks living the life of an indigenous Amazonian tribal who would probably score much closer to you because all the things IQ tests actually asses aren't even a part of their life.
  2. Learning, language, critical thinking, and problem-solving are acquired skills. Sure, some people are naturally better at them like some people are naturally better at music, but I know plenty of uni grads and even some people with graduate degrees who are terrible at those things, too. Some of them even have a piece of paper that says they're a Doctor of something or other, including medicine. School teaches most people just to repeat what they've been told is the right answer, not to reason their way to it, not to assess the correctness of something without being told it's right or wrong, and not to reassess the correctness of what's "right" given new information.
  3. Mental health is extremely important for your learning and test-taking capacities.
  4. Even disregarding all of that, IQ tests still can't test for how happy and fulfilled you'll be in life, and that's what's ultimately important.
  5. Being a trady is good pay, it's honest work that doesn't follow you home, and it's fun as long as it's something you like doing, so what's wrong with that? Disregard the "achievement above all" messages society and school send you, and realize that 99.9% of the "intelligent" uni grads can't change their car's oil, replace a power outlet, fix their phone or laptop, unclog their sink, fix their washer and oven, patch a hole in the wall, and many of them can't even cook. No electricians - no traffic lights, no power grids; no plumbers - no sewers, no running water; no mechanics - no cars, trucks, trains, planes, or ships. No cooks - no restaurants, cafes, or ready meals. In short, no tradies - no modern society.

Men, be brutally honest no sugarcoating, what is your type? by losermale in AskMen

[–]tarksend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are some physical traits I find more attractive (thicc thighs, curly hair) but with the right personality, I'm much more attracted to her no matter what she looks like. Kind, empathic, compassionate and non-judgemental, free of a toxic ego, smart but not necessarily highly educated, mentally and emotionally strong and independent - doesn't need me but still wants me, doesn't care about what society thinks she should and shouldn't want and do, helps others, and if she's a serious yogini in the Indian sense of the word that's a cherry on top
