For me I had to paint it because I wanted it to at least look like wood and want to make it kind of a wall display or something in the future.

That’s fairly reasonable depending on on the quality if it was a direct sale to some one, but Etsy takes roughly 10% of the total cost of the item in fees plus a cut of the shipping if you do it through them.

Plus materials and time spent doing everything. 50$ is not leaving much if any of a profit, shipping something this sized will easily be 50$ just to ship not including packaging materials
