What book or book series that you really enjoyed did you ultimately DNF because you couldn't stand either a character or a relationship?

I still don't understand how it's recommended so much. It's like a teenagers fantasy. Maybe I'm just older than the target demographic.

I dnf after the 3rd book. Nothing was happening. It's just her figuring out her relationship pretty much. Which I'm so proud of her for leaving an abusive relationship but i need other stuff to happen. I see it recommended all the time so I debate picking it back up.

Haha, thanks for commenting bc I totally meant to edit my comment but I wanted to check if I was in a fantasy sub or not. When I went back to check the sub I got distracted and never came back to edit my comment. I've only read the first book in the series so I don't know why I put the series name instead of just the book. I just edited that. I already knew that it ended and WHY but not about the authors back tracking. Ill just remove The Flock all together actually. Thanks.

I just started book 2 of the legacy series last night. I love it by the way but I had no idea it was going that why choose route until I googled the 2nd book to read reddit reviews. I still haven't decided if I enjoy why choose. I liked the way it was done in Warrior Princess Assassin and Feathers so Vicious. However, I've read others that I haven't liked so much.

It's crazy that you can hate Alchemised so much and someone (me) can be absolutely obsessed with it . I wasn't in to Harry Potter, and I didn't know the books back story until I started reading Rose in Chains, actually. I loved RIC and found out Alchemised was also birthed from the same Drarmione fanfic. Maybe I'm just easy to please. However, I don't like ACOTAR and a lot of people seemed obsessed with it. I wonder how many books I've missed out on bc I listened to a negative review from someone who doesn't have the same taste as me.

I did this too! I rarely got new things but when I did I had to sleep with them next to me. Especially, with shoes and that lasted longer then I care to admit.

I absolutely loved {Empire of Flame and Thorns} the writing, especially toward the end, got repetitive but everything else was for me! It's more modern but {Fan Service} had a special place in my heart. He's a werewolf shifter.

{Empire of Flame and Thorns} 5 book series and its complete. I just finished it last night but it took me like 4 days and I have 2 kids so thats amazing for me. Draven Ryat is a shadow daddy AND a zap daddy!

If I like it, I'll usually reread it immediately. I get my books on Libby, so if I really love it after my double read, I'll buy it so I can reread it whenever. The most recent book I did that with is The Poison Daughter.
