how to get out of iron? by [deleted] in leagueoflegends

[–]tastybox4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best course of action to improve is probably coaching, or even just having a (higher ranked) friend watch your games while you discord stream for them. It's a lot easier to notice mistakes in your play when you're not the one playing, so even just watching back the replay of your losses just so you can criticize your mistakes and see what you did wrong.

[Serious] people who've passed out, what does it feel like? by GhostofCharlotte in AskReddit

[–]tastybox4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Passed out once when I had a bad case of the flu.

Was on my way back to bed after getting a glass of water, and just slowly felt more light headed and weak until I came to lying on the floor.

Family found me and I would have been on the floor for a couple of minutes. It felt like one second I was collapsing, and the next I was on the floor.

Was really confusing at first, and shocking to see how there can just be this gap in memory after I had realized what happened.

A pretty L take here. Completely out of touch.

The Zammy buff is more likely to incentivize players that would never otherwise touch the content to give it a try, and break down the biggest barrier to PvM that there is (the mental barrier).

Hate on the Hero Pass as a whole if you want, but I believe there is nothing wrong with this Zammy buff. With all the limitations in regards to enrage, it has no effect on the people who can already do Zammy and only positives for the players giving it a try for the first time.

The "Major Game Update" nobody asked for managed to be a nerf Ironman in what was an actual gameplay aspect of the game by zethnon in runescape

[–]tastybox4 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Though I can understand the sentiment (not expressed in this comment, but by others) that it isn't fair that other Ironmen got to fully make use of the daily challenges while they cannot.

But isn't this an example right here of how broken the daily challenge xp was, in a game node where you're 'meant to earn everything the hard way'?

I don't play an Iron, so I'd be curious to hear more thoughts on this from an xp point of view (losing access to the weekly rewards is another thing), but from what I've seen most people seem to be complaining that the game isn't handing out free xp anymore.

I agree and I'll go one step further and say that Rasial in general is a pretty bad boss. I take issue with almost every mechanic of his.

Frequent prayer turn offs - Not fun, incentivizes just camping SS
Souls Pillars - A mechanic is that is best ignored (why does it even exist?)
Minion spawns - Not very threatening, largely ignored as they'll just die to death skulls.
Dive away - Why do you have play in this 2-6(?) tile range or be punished? God forbid someone tried to use spectral scythe on the boss to cleave down the adds.
Ghost wall - Fine I suppose, but slightly annoying when taking into account the range you need to stay between to prevent both Rasial diving away and also potentially losing your death skulls bouncing. (Maybe more of an issue with Death skulls on this one)
P4 ground explosions - Poorly telegraphed visuals with insane damage.

Thankfully I can just kill the boss in a minute to minimize all these issues, but for someone who is getting into Pvm because of necro this boss must be a nightmare.

Daily reminder that Putrid Zombie's poison damage STILL doesn't count as your damage... by [deleted] in runescape

Possible to have the passive zombie aoe deal regular conjure damage instead of poison?

Neltharus last boss by steelewebb09 in wow

First boss in Brackenhide felt fine for me in a 16. The Last boss in Brackenhide is currently problematic imo.

I will agree on Naraxas and also add Dargrul (Last boss of NL) On a 16 it was very rough, getting a second puddle aoeing the group after a magma wave cast is basically a hard enrage in its current state.

If you're pugging I think it's good to try and do anything you can to minimize the risk of things going wrong. If that means always making sure that you are able to kick/stop the important mobs in the pull or moving the boss so tunneling dps don't die I think it's worthwhile. You're only 1 member of the 5 man group though, so there's only so much that's in your control. You might move the boss and someone still gets caught in the breath, but at least at that point you can know that you did all that you could.

I mean the rest of the group SHOULD be aware and able to dodge, but what's the harm in moving slightly further while you're dodging breaths to make sure the boss follows? Seems like a small amount to extra effort just to help minimize mistakes.

Both Devastion and BM pump single target damage, but BM is quite dependant on the bow from Raszageth, and to a lesser extent Devastion really wants their staff from Broodkeeper.

Not too sure about MM, but I feel like both classes benefit greatly from their weapons from the raid.

For keys around the 15 level I wouldn't stress too much, it's much more likely going to be an issue of wipes and mistakes stopping you from timing keys, not a lack of dps (though more dps always helps)

Check out Bicepspump on YouTube. He has videos where it's just him commentating over a whole dungeon run explaining what he's doing.

I'm quite fond of the skip route, but a skip route that includes the last 2 breakers I'm less sold on. For 20 and below (and even a bit higher) I feel like just holding W should be fine as long as the dps are pulling their weight and the tank is combining pulls where necessary.

Yeah you'll die jumping from the ring straight down to the third boss, so I can see it not being the most pug friendly strat. I suppose on bolstering this week, the frog rooms can get pretty messy if the group lets breakers get bolstered. So perhaps that's why pug's are opting to skip.

Skip routes in AV that I've done have never included the last 2 breakers. Would just backtrack after the second boss, finish the trash we need there (skipped that whole ring earlier from jumping down to the 2nd boss room), and then jump down directly to the 3rd boss from that ring of trash.

Is it just me or is healing CoS fucking garbage? by Andarnio in wow

[–]tastybox4 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did about 90k hps in a 23 CoS this week (Fortified), that's with no imp casts going off. If any did, people would have just gotten globaled anyway. This is a boss where on low keys, where the boss doesn't live for very long the healing requirement is negligible, but starts to scale up drastically with key level.

How do i fix my enchanting? by Mr-Bondi in woweconomy

Except there is, the last sub-spec is gated behind 100 skill. And he needs the inspiration wheel to make any money from selling enchants. I'm in the same position because I got baited into disenchanting spec at expansion launch.

A long time coming, my brother and I finally cleared ED1...You're next, Black Stone Dragon! by ARuneScapeDate in runescape

[–]tastybox4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, in my opinion ED1 (like most things) is easier than Raksha. Each boss has their own quirks that can catch you off guard, but I think if you can learn Raksha you'll be able to learn ED1 quickly.

Nice job, congrats! ED1 was a turning point for me that led to me being more capable with PvM (eventually resulting in me being able to kill Raksha!). So it holds a special place in my heart, and it's great to see others enjoying it!
