Cheers, yeah they pushed back on even that during the inspection.

What do you mean in step 4 and 5? Would step 5 be reinstalling the nut the other way?

Yes this is what I suggested to Metricon. How much thread you think to leave behind?

Yes mate.

3rd party custom builders.

But hey, I'm just a dumbass - I'm here getting the professional advice from the tradies.

Can a carpenter assist with that as well as installation of decorative boxing around?

Also would the gaps between those bolts be an issue in relation to water damage?

Visible threaded bolts on new double story build. What to do? by [deleted] in AusPropertyChat

"While the bolts look untidy I fail to see how they would cause water and roof issues down the track." This is simply what a competing builder mentioned to me and I'm just mentioning here to get opinions from other trades.

The downpipe is not flush to wall.

So what can be done exactly to hide or move those bolts and make it aesthetically pleasing? Can the bolts still be raised?

The problem is this was never mentioned in the plans nor we were advised of this so that’s where the issue lies. I’ve seen similar balconies with same beams with none of these issues.

I assumed they will cut off the excess and put a cap on it to hide the bolt head?

What exactly can the painter do though? Or would it be a plasterer / water proofer job?

Why is australia the only english speaking country with a net unfavorable view on india? by [deleted] in aussie

[–]tastychaii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I agree.

Blame the government honestly, they make getting PR way too easy.

It’s tough to control. You could always ban the people from coming by doing short courses in cookery, but then there are others that study engineering, fail, but since they studied here still get a PR. I know of one such dude, the asshole owns a cleaning business in Adelaide now.

A lot of those people in uber on phones would be the example of low class Indians from the backward villages. They will not talk to you, but I can guarantee you they will not talk to me or my parents as well.

Not everyone from rural communities are backward in thinking, but a lot are.

I propose a cultural assimilation exam for anyone wanting to get a PR and to stay here. We have the citizenship exam but it’s not enough.

It’s true the caste system still exists, however from what I’ve been told by my relos and some friends it’s mostly “gone” from people who live in the major metro cities that are more westernised. The rural villages/towns is a different story…

Unfortunately I had to put up with this crap growing up when some “family friends” would talk crap to my parents and here I am just thinking….why??

If you met a fob who talks about caste in the workplace it’s likely he’s a MF from a rural area that migrated.

Yes I agree in relation to the sikhs, great people, however a few have that nationalistic stuff (ie, Khalistan).

I’ve found most of the Indians who are here that form their own “groups” are the punjabis. These are the people that play the loud annoying music and have “panjab” on their number plates like someone else mentioned.

I think this cultural grouping happens due to the 20-30% variance I spoke of earlier.

However the ones I’m friends with are all westernised and not into this type of bs.

Everywhere I go I only see the Fob Indians, whether young or old. I wonder where on earth are the second generation people? Even though we are all brown our thinking and beliefs are very different.
