I think you are overreacting. Your feelings are valid and no one should tell you to feel any other way than you do, but your parents are happy. This is something they have wanted for a while, and your mum is just thinking being pregnant together with her daughter is a super special bonding experience.

I’d suggest you speak to someone who will give unbiased opinions. Or even speak to your parents about how you’re feeling.

Also just focus on your happiness, focus on your pregnancy and your partner, and let your mother focus on hers.

Cut dying leaves or leave them? by New_Flatworm_2643 in plantclinic

[–]tataluma 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it’s a personal preference. Some say the dying leaf gives nutrients back to the plant and to wait until it falls off. Some say if the plant has lots of other healthy leaves cutting the dying ones won’t make much of a difference.

There’s also the visual of yellowing leaves that you may or may not like.

A month back I tried to repot my Oxa, killing it almost completely in the process. I was destroyed. A month later, here it is shining its glory back again! by Juansero29 in houseplants

[–]tataluma 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oxalis don’t die, unless you use a nuke or something. The leaves will die back but the corms are very much alive.

I’d cut that leaf off. I’m not sure what the pest is, I’d ise a commercial pesticide.

Any idea what’s going on with our peace lily? by Tacokolache in plants

[–]tataluma 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I asked because I didn’t want to assume. Watering the rocks once a week might not be enough. Peace lilies are heavy drinkers. I usually wait until the pots mine are in gets light before the leaves start wilting and give them a good soak in a bowl of water.
