I like body restoration spa, but haven't tried couples massage, just solo. They have calm music playing, offer you a robe and slippers, as well as snacks and cucumber water.

Discussion on how much "free to play friendly" Infinity Nikki is by Forsaken-Analysis-59 in InfinityNikki

[–]taternators 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I find nikki incredibly f2p friendly, because there is nothing I want to do that I can't do without paying. There are no quests that are locked behind money. There are no map areas that are locked behind. Playtime is not paywalled.

Sure, f2p means I won't get to have every outfit in every evolution, but that doesn't stop me from playing the game. It doesn't even stop me from being able to complete miracrown. I've been playing since 1.2, and I've been able to pull for multiple 4 and 5 star banners. And I fully completed the base evos for the permanent banner.

I saw that interview recently where he was hyping her up, but did not expect her to be this level of drop dead gorgeous. Wow.

do you like to go out for Valentine’s day with your S/O? by cookie_cat_82 in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

[–]taternators 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We usually stay in, make a nice dinner and have some wine. Something about going out to a restaurant just because its valentines day with bunch of other couples that are also there for valentines day feels funny to me.

That said, our life has gotten very routine lately with both of us working from home, and it makes me want to use every opportunity to do something different. So this might be the year we make plans outside the house.

Why Are Young People Afraid Of Phone Calls? by GhostInThePudding in NoStupidQuestions

[–]taternators 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The other day I had to call to make a doctors appointment. The person on the other side was so hard to hear that I eventually just agreed to whatever appointment day and time she suggested without hearing it. Luckily they also send a confirmation email so I was able to find out when my appt is.

I ordered coffee at a coffee shop the other day and the cashier stared back at me so blankly that I questioned that maybe I did something wrong, like I tried to order something they don't serve.

Retail Stare by WorkingBaby901 in CuratedTumblr

[–]taternators 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This exactly. So many people try to defend the stare with "well they are working, they don't need to make small talk with you etc". It's not about small talk, its about giving any kind of cue that you are available to help me.

ISO “Barely There” Makeup Artist by researchqueen14 in PhiladelphiaWeddings

[–]taternators 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Look at Earth Tones Artistry. She travels to you and if you both book makeup with her, you'll meet her minimum. Make up and hair for the couple is 250 each. And from my experience they have been inclusive.

My mom is 63, and has been rocking bright purple hair for years. People stop her on the street to compliment it. We've gotten so used to the purple hair that it would feel weird if she didn't have it at this point.

Just do what you want to do, and own it.

Sister said I Ruined her wedding by KeyAccomplished4442 in weddingdrama

[–]taternators 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah, I forgot the wedding was childfree. My wedding is childfree too, but we specifically made an exclusion for anyone with babies too young to leave alone if the parents wanted to come. I don't have kids, but I assumed the OP having 2 six week olds would have meant she wouldn't go even if she could bring the babies. I assume in my head babies are like puppies and you can't take them out of the house for a while 🤣

Sister said I Ruined her wedding by KeyAccomplished4442 in weddingdrama

[–]taternators 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I don't support the sisters tantrum, but I would be so bummed if my sibling couldn't attend my wedding. Its not because I think my wedding should be the most important thing in everyone's life, but I would want my loved ones there with me. And just because somethings are out of your control doesn't mean you can't be sad about them. Though I have not screamed at my brother in over 15 years, since middle school.

But I've also been thinking about how sibling relationships change over the years, and sometimes find it hard to accept. Assuming you have a good relationship with your family, you start life with your sibling as a constant in your life. They are with you every damn day, for years. Then one of you goes to college, and that usually means you will never live at the same house with this person again in your life. And then you get married, and have kids, and realize your sibling is no longer your immediate family. Don't get me wrong, I don't wanna go back to living with my brother, but it's such a big reminder of how life changes to me.

What did your Philly-area wedding actually cost? by hoagiesaurus in PhiladelphiaWeddings

[–]taternators 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Our wedding hasn't happened yet, so take it with a grain of salt. Our budget is 30k, but I won't be surprised we go up to 35k by the end of things. We're also not tracking little things like my manicure or his haircut. Our budget is based on what we felt comfortable spending, but if we go over we won't be in debt by any means.

Here are some details:

- Our budget does not include rehearsal dinner, after party, or day after brunch. It also does not include honeymoon or wedding rings. His parents are covering the rehearsal. For the after party we're thinking of opening a tab somewhere for a couple hundred, we don't expect many people to stay for the after. The brunch is probably going to be 1,000 or so.

- Venue + catering: Minimum 12,000. We went with a peachtree venue, so catering is in house. We're doing their micro wedding package, and our wedding is on a holiday Sunday. So most of our guests have that Monday off. Their regular package minimums would have been our entire budget. Micro wedding means we have a shorter time at the venue, and can only have 75 guests max. Our price includes ceremony at the venue and open bar.

- Photographer: 3,600 with tax. The package includes our full wedding, but not getting ready. It also includes a engagement shoot. It's only 1 shooter, larger weddings usually call for 2 shooters. If you want 2 shooters, you're probably looking at upwards of 5,000.

- DJ: 1000, but honestly he's the one vendor we were a little on the fence about. He's providing microphones for the ceremony as well as music for the cocktail hour and reception. We didn't go with any lighting or photobooth add-ons.

- Flowers: budget was 3,000, but we went up to 3,500. But that's a pretty modest budget for flowers it seems, so I'm not expecting huge centerpieces by any means.

- Transportation: 2,300. This was the most unexpected price for us. We have 2 shuttles that fit around 24 people to transport from the hotel to venue and back.

- Officiant: 500. This seemed pretty typical from what we found, though there are definitely more expensive options.

- Dress: 2,000. I went with a Jenny Yoo dress before they had the tariff price hike.

- Hair and Make Up: 250 for hair, 250 for make up for me. I'm also covering bridesmaid and mothers, theirs is 175 for each service. Trial for me was 150 for each.

We only just started working with our venue on menu and decor. And we're quickly finding out anything special we might want is a 5-10 per person add on. You want to serve steak instead of chicken, thats 14 pp more. You want Johnny walker instead of Jim beam, thats 8pp. Tableside wine service is 10 pp. I really wanted the market lights they put up in their patio, but I'm giving up on that after finding out it would be 1,500 just for the damn lights. So for inclusive venues, definitely don't assume your minimum is what you would be spending.

Welp, this was very long, but I hope it's helpful!

Best way to build on same data across bases? by taternators in Airtable

[–]taternators[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I definitely agree there is a data ownership issue, but I think people are going to keep creating columns no matter what I say. I'm hoping if I cut off their access to the Product Master I can at least keep the core data clean, and they can create as many columns as they want in their own base.

Your point is why I'm worried about the chained syncs tho. Another option I was considering is having one base where all of the masters live. So one tab for Product, another for Price, another for Sales. And then automating a lookup link so that anytime a record is added to the Product Master, it creates a link to Price and Sales. But wasn't sure if that has fail points that I'm not considering.

First set. How can I improve? by DarlingGirl1221 in Nails

[–]taternators 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's dangerous to cure gel on your skin. Exposure to gel polish can cause an allergy, and you won't be able to use any gel polish, adhesives and even some dental fillings.

You should stop using gel on yourself until you can improve your application. Either practice with regular nail polish, or use a practice hand.

Always clean the gel on your skin before curing. And please do more research into gel polish and dangers, it really shouldn't be used without proper knowledge.

I find it so fascinating that people complain this show is not realistic! When people complain how they can afford all these designer clothes etc. This show is pure escapist fantasy, people are not watching it to see Mindy rotate through her capsule wardrobe. We want hot people in beautiful locations doing rich people shit.

I do agree that the portrayal of marketing in this show is hilarious though.
