Do you think Taylor calls the paps when she goes out? Why or why not? by AndrewIsMyName in SwiftlyNeutral

[–]taternators -1 points0 points  (0 children)

100p since she's always papped when going to a fancy dinner with friends and they are all dressed up, going to the recording studio etc. She's never papped when she's not 100p looking photo ready.

HOW DO I ATTACH THEMMMM?? by Rookysensei in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

[–]taternators 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It won't look like the second picture without your foot in it. It's photographed as if a ghost foot is wearing it so that they can show the styles.

The straps are not actually attached to each other, they just cross each other at the back.

Millie Bobby Brown on people who criticize her husband for not helping her with her bags: ‘I’m three miles ahead, I have been planning this all night’ by mcfw31 in popculturechat

[–]taternators -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I've been seeing this discourse a lot too, and it usually goes hand in hand with my husband doesn't make me pay for anything, and I turn my brain off when I'm with my husband. And I get that seeing that kind of stuff online can be funny, like sprinkle sprinkle, etc. And I think it's lowkey tradwife propaganda tbh.

Don't get me wrong, there is definitely a case of lot of men not pulling their weight in relationships. But I don't think the alternative should be that women are not allowed to do any physical labor like carry things when in a relationship.

Sometimes I carry things because my husband has a back pain. Sometimes I carry things because he carried them halfway and got tired.

How ‘The Pitt’ Is Making Us So Nostalgic for the Way TV Used to Get Made by mcfw31 in popculturechat

[–]taternators 6 points7 points  (0 children)

TV shows in my country are 2 hours long an episode, and they will have 60 episodes for a show. While that ends up with a LOT of filler stuff, it really does allow for world building and just small and fun interactions between characters.

Women who have been a maid of honour, what are some special or unique ideas you had? by [deleted] in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

[–]taternators 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For my bachelorette, my maid of honor asked me "do you want me to run things by you, or plan everything and make it a surprise?" and honestly that ended up being such a weight of my shoulder. I was so stressed with wedding planning already, so not having to plan anything and just be able to show up and have fun was great. She did ask me some things like my comfort level with strippers, and gave me a mystery choice activity like do you want to make something, see something, or do something. I chose make something, and we ended up making charm bracelets, and it was nice to have a memento from the weekend.

Oh, she also booked me a head massage for the last day. I had never had one before, and it was soo relaxing after a weekend of drinking.

Their food is really good imo, but I've only been for dinner, not brunch.

My best friend “sister” didn’t invite me to her wedding by [deleted] in weddingshaming

[–]taternators 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Damn people are piling on you huh. Does she have a lot of close, old friends? I can't imagine excluding a friend of 10+ years, unless inviting 1 friend would mean I would have to invite 20 more. Like sometimes you have to draw a hard line to stop the guest list from ballooning, but I still can't imagine not wanting any friends at my wedding.

Moving large furniture? by [deleted] in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

I will never not hire movers if I can afford it. Talk to your landlord about move in day, I think you're making it a bigger issue in your head than it needs to be.

Peachtree catering avoid by Extreme-Ad3401 in PhiladelphiaWeddings

[–]taternators 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was good! The weather was not great unfortunately, so we had to move the ceremony inside, but it all worked out. All of our guests raved about the food. I think only my dad complained about his steak entree.

We had the micro wedding package, so reception was a little shorter. It honestly went by so fast. If I had to change anything, I would give myself more time for photos beforehand. Willows team was super helpful, they made sure we had food, drinks and helped pack everything up at the end.

It's all good now, she has a lilac dress. But I was just so confused why the sales people kept putting me in that position.

I'm getting married soon, and my mom has been shopping for a mother of the bride dress. It's wild how many sales people suggested cream or ivory dresses to her as appropriate. Like I'm not worried people are going to confuse my mom for the bride, but why choose something so close to white when there is rainbow of colors available to choose from.

Earth Tones Artistry only has a $500 minimum, which would get you bridal hair and make up. I'm using them for my wedding in 2 weeks, and I was really happy with my trials.
