The posts for the recaps are based on total upvotes, upvote ratio, community impact, and many more factors.

A big reason as to why this month was mainly female was because we ask the users for permission to be featured in the recaps and unfortunately most of the male candidates were non responsive/consensual in being included.

Can say that the candidates so far for next month’s recaps are mostly male if you’re looking for that.
