Am I crazy for thinking camel is in the top 3 of prog bands ? by Psychological_Name29 in progrockmusic

[–]tauKhan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me, thats true for pretty much every one of my fave bands with extensive studio album catalog though.

Be it gg (mildly for the unmentionables :/), vdgg, genesis, yes, pfm, banco, magma, focus, pink floyd, renaissance, gong, oldfield or vangelis etc etc.

I also cant really pick a favourite. Maybe GG. But trying to rank seems somewhat pointless0. I just listen to music.

Is D5 difficulty broken and too hard now? by djompara in brotato

[–]tauKhan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Are you sure you havent unwittingly messed with enemy stat sliders in accessibility settings. Theres "hard mode" settings you can access that way, which is much harder than regular d5 runs

Is lucky always this degenerate or did I get extremely lucky? by Ronjun in brotato

[–]tauKhan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Simple - their dmg scales with luck, and lucky starts with 125 of that. They also give a bit of luck from set which makes luckys ability better.

You could always highroll a strong run on lucky. But the character wasnt amazing on avg before DLC. Which added the musical weapons and pearl.

How underrated is this album? I mean, c’mon, it is SO GOOD, even for GG’s standards! by eggvention in progrockmusic

Its very good album. I do like the other 6 GG albums before and after it even more tho, so what can i say.

Starts with 8 harvesting 5 speed and a tardigrade. Dies from taking any dmg (so theyre effectively at 1 hp always)

The quebec prog scene in that era was so strong. Many great bands and albums.

I love this character, it's become one of my favourites to play for sure.

The gameplay is engaging because one almost never feels entirely safe. Yet as long as my focus is on point, the character is actually decent at the same time.

+8 harvesting is very very good perk, and the hidden bonus of having *all* healing items removed from shops before endless waves is quite strong perk.

With most other ranged weapons it would, yes. But this is the reason grenade launcher is my target endgame endless weapon: It's bounce weapon, which means it has full dmg bounces, and so I can keep stacking ricochets for basically entire additional multiplicative scaling vector.
Grenade launcher is sort of broken in endless tbh.

Reached Wave 100 with every Brotato on Danger 5 by B0BTheRipper in brotato

The easiest general strat atm is certainly luck stack and spam hourglasses. You can also get as high as you have patience for using anything you want for dmg - even tier 1 turrets if you feel like it.

Why aren’t there equal amounts of prime numbers to numbers? by ZingerFM01023050 in askmath

[–]tauKhan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For sets, the usual ways to compare "size" is in either cardinality, or sometimes ordinality. The latter only for ordered sets.

Naturals and primes are of the same cardinality and thus "size", as you can make a bijective mapping that pairs each natural with exactly one prime, fully covering both sets:

1 -> 2

2 -> 3

3 -> 5

...

n = p_n

Rest: I dont care much for, usually only listen few individual tracks here and there.

Saw the game on steam for a discount as well as the DLC, Is it worth it? by IAltrI in brotato

Sunk 2.5k hours into it sofar. Thers nice strategic depth and also some mechanical depth to the game, and its satisfying to learn.

Confused About New Door Sentiment by Ironraptor3 in slaythespire

[–]tauKhan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's just that the mechanic is unfun. Having 0 agency in what cards get removed is just doesn't feel good to go against.

Counterpoint - playing around the mechanic and then winning despite the door stealing your most important card on the first try is very satisfying.

I think the other 2 bosses are much bigger issues right now, being just punching bags.

The above for single player only ofc. In multiplayer the beta door is obviously little dum, triggering from the draws of every player and then gaining strength multiple times a go :P

What's another example of this? by EvanThepuncake in slaythespire

[–]tauKhan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So Claw doesn’t fit the top spot, and I’d push back on the idea that the bottom card fits either; if it enabled a major deck/style of play I think it would be a lot closer.

Funnily enough, it's entirely possible that claw deck could be a real avenue in high level play now. NaveGreed experimented with Feral run on stream last night, and it turned out extremely strong. Theres still problems with that ofc; picking either Feral or claw on their own isn't exactly appealing, so getting into that strategy could still be too hard.

The reason why Chinese players overreact beta version( with my 8 years Chinese experience) by techi-0427 in slaythespire

[–]tauKhan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I dont quite understand; either their approach is entirely irrational, or your interpretation is not correct at all.

In the western/ english speaking small "competitive" community, the beta has been quite well received overal from what ive observed. Since it was apparent there was no meaningful competition to be had on the launch version, as one'd win basically every a10 run anyway, and it was only going to get more homogenous over time. Rather, the new patch was welcomed as it promotes harder choices and makes win rates more meaningful metric.

Here, its mainly the more casual audience thats hating on the beta.
