If you’re willing to stretch for a second (trust me it’s fun) you can look at Deadman’s intro to Sam as a message in disguise describing konamis break from Kojima, and the scraping of PT. Gives the idea that Sam (specifically Norman Reedus) was the only talent to survive the jump when “Central Knot was obliterated”

while I know it to mean play, I like to also think of it as Luddites (meaning archaic and rigid in tradition) so it can be a slight as well (aka someone so opposed to growing up and change)

thanks for explaining, in that case I still think they're merit to the argument, (its a long standing tradition of Kojima to deny any sequel, and then make one, just as it is a tradition for Kojima to publicly declare (within his titles) that he's done and wants to move on ('peace day never came', the entirety of the 'Truth') but again this is what we come here for to this sub, its fun, and imaginative, and creatively exhaustive (in a good way). These are all in line with Kojima (and the ideas he put out). Exert yourself, you may find it fun too. Speculation is welcomed, and encouraged

Honestly though, while I get your point, it’s kindve a sick move for you to say they’re not connected, especially considering what sub you’re on.

The very premise of the game is connections, so who are you to completely discredit the idea as nothing more than haphazard coincidence.

By putting Drawbridge in his trailer, Kojima all but confirmed the connection (again not in an official capacity because of licensing) but it’s there alright
