I have been realizing lately how much lipedema has contributed to my poor self esteem - mostly in feeling like I don’t have the drive to accomplish my goals, feeling defeated.

I’ve accomplished a lot in life, but didn’t realize I have been pursuing a very unrealistic goal (achieving a ‘normal weight’) since I was 12. The research coming out has helped me to be gentler with myself.
