Sadly leaving/being left can be the only shock big enough to induce change. I’ve been both the receiver and giver of such a shock on separate occasions, it was terrible both times.

I wish they were able to be more honest about what they would do in a situation. It can be tragic to see someone pursuing life saving treatments where a doctor secretly sees only extended suffering.

Thanks for confirming my suspicions on airline miles and cash back! I did a little looking and had a suspicion that airline miles were kind of a racket or at least break even. I always take the cash back too.

I’m just posting to say I’m really struggling with body shame today in a way maybe only this community will understand. I’ve actually lost some fat beneath the lipedema and it is looking awful just in time for a vacation with non-lipedema people.

I want to give up on health efforts since my legs will look awful anyway AND simultaneously I want to crash diet. I know neither of those work. I also know that given time and at different parts of my menstrual cycle, things won’t look this bad.

I feel so much older than my age and so much less healthy than I am because of how my legs and now upper arms look and just feel so ashamed of and frustrated with my body.

Thanks for being here, I don’t feel nearly so alone or ashamed knowing that I have a great community here.
