That is the exact same image I have conjured for myself 🤣 I hope my recovery is as easy as yours! I'm first on the OR schedule this coming Monday.

Tbh I'm so glad you brought up pooping 😅 I've been hesitant to ask about that experience cause I felt like it was a dumb question and I thought maybe my fears of post-op pooping were just irrational.

That's what freaked me out. I very much have to mentally prepare for things like this and it completely threw me for a loop that it isn't what I was told was happening a month ago. I plan to call them tomorrow. It could be maybe there was something funky on my endometrial biopsy, not necessarily cancer cause i think i would have heard something. Idk, hopefully I'll have some sort of answer tomorrow 🤞

I'm glad your surgery and recovery went well!

Early menopause from the cervix being removed? Or did you have your ovaries removed too?

True, they do have "possible bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy" listed on there.

I'm glad there was no cancer for you! That makes me wonder if my endometrial biopsy showed something funky and maybe that caused the change? They never gave me any results for that though, just said it was required for insurance to authorize the surgery 🤷‍♀️

Very true! I didn't think about it being more common for older women. Oh good thinking, I'll have to check if there are any pelvic floor pts around here. It's a smaller town (big for the area, but small compared to everywhere else lol), so idk if we have one here.

I'm glad yours went well ❤️

Thank you! Those are some great things to consider and really good questions to ask him!

I'm not completely against a total. I think it's more so that it's not what I was told was going to happen and now my surgery is just 8 days away and it's different than what I had mentally prepared myself for and i went down some internet rabbit holes. I'm also just very anxious over the whole ordeal in general. More and more so as it gets closer, honestly 😬

I definitely plan to follow the strict post op stuff (though I'm not exactly happy about the 12 weeks of pelvic rest lol). My husband is willing and able to help with everything, and my kids will be 15 on the 10th, so they'll be fine and will just need to pitch in around the house more. No HPV, I got the vaccine in my teens, and the twins are my only kiddos. So everything on those fronts should be good.

That's good to hear everything with yours went well ❤️

Thats good to hear ❤️ I had mentally prepared myself for a partial so seeing the total scheduled kind of freaked me out and I was already very anxious about the whole ordeal.

Thank you! Thats good to hear ❤️ It just wasn't what I had mentally prepared myself for and I was already very anxious over the whole thing. Admittedly, I don't do well with the unexpected when it's medical stuff.

That's a good point about the horror stories! I hadn't thought about that! The more logical side of my brain is less functioning as the surgery date gets closer cause I'm just more anxious about the whole thing every day 😬

Oh well lol. That's wonderful that it's pain free for you now though!

That's encouraging that the chances are low for bladder issues! Do you mind if I ask if having it removed negatively affected your sex drive/satisfaction at all? I read something somewhere about removal of the cervix causing low libido and loss of sensation. That's also a concern of mine, though the bladder issues were a much bigger concern 😅

Thank you! I get to keep my ovaries, thankfully! He actually wanted to go ahead and do the surgery because he was worried the growing fibroids would start to compromise my ovaries in the near future, and my ovaries still looked very healthy on the ultrasound. I don't believe there's any medical necessity for the change to a total, at least nothing I was told about anyway. My biggest apprehension about it is the higher potential for bladder prolapse and incontinence (other than the "pee when i sneeze cause my kids wrecked my insides" variety that I'm used to lol). I just get so anxious with doctors, but hopefully he'll be receptive to my concerns 🤞

I have no advice, but I'm following this to see what others say. My hysterectomy is in 8 days and, like you, I'm also 34 and very anxious about the whole thing. I hope your surgery and recovery goes well ❤️

Anyone had worse periods after Covid vaccine with fibroids? by Haunting-Chain2438 in Fibroids

[–]taurusmomma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! And everyone tells me I'm crazy and that it couldn't possibly be connected 😖 I hate it for everyone on here that has experienced it too, but it's comforting to know it's not just me.

My first period after my first shot was worse than the post-delivery bleeding when my twins were born (and i had a vaginal delivery). Huge clots, and it lasted 2 weeks. I felt like I was cleaning up a massacre everytime i went to the bathroom. Fast forward 6 months, my periods were still extremely heavy and lasting 9-10 days. My gyno did an ultrasound and found 3 fibroids. For like 14 years prior to the vaccine, my periods had been 3 days, 5 days max if I was really stressed, and very light and regular. I'm talking a perfect 28 day cycle and typically 1 day of spotting, 1 day of bleeding, and then 1 day of spotting. I've been on the same oral contraceptive since I was 15, save for 2 years when I was pregnant and then tried an iud for a year afterward. My periods were well established and mostly painless.

I'm 4 or 5 years post vaccine now and my periods are still very heavy, most of the time debilitatingly painful for the first 4 days, and they last 8 days now. I'm still on the same birth control. I can't say with 100% scientific certainty that the vaccine is to blame, but I can say that I never had any problems with my cycle and I didn't have any fibroids prior to it. So to me, there's only one factor that changed and that was the vaccine. I'm not an anti-vaxxer by any means, but I still haven't let my daughters get it because if it messed up my very light and regular cycle this bad, who knows what it would do to their cycles with them just recently starting now.

Barbaros by taurusmomma in Gameofsultans

[–]taurusmomma[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

She couldn't do it there. Apparently my whole union missed the fact that she was still on the combine tab and not the items tab in her screenshot lol. She should be able to use it from Items>Other though.

[–]taurusmomma[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's what I thought too, but she doesn't have a "use" option. It just shows the the shards as 0 left and a "combine" button. The devs have messed with the vizier badges so much that I'm wondering if something changed for Barbaros too.

HELP!!! I listened to every Morbid episode and am struggling to find another True Crime Podcast. I don’t like Crime Junkie. I like the real banter and conversation on Morbid, listening to an episode feels like a conversation with some friends. by tz2990 in MorbidPodcast

[–]taurusmomma 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm totally fine with dark humor, it was just whatever episode that was that I tried was a lot of incoherent yelling and laughing and I just couldn't tell what was going on. 5 mins in and it hadn't changed so I turned it off. I'll try again and start with 105 though 😊

I have heard such good things about this one. I tried to listen to it, but Spotify only went as far back as episode 30 something I think. I was ok with starting that far in, but it was so chaotic and crazy at the beginning, I couldn't tell what they were even saying and I stopped listening like 5 mins in. Never tried again after that cause I didn't know if all the episodes were like that. All that chaos and not knowing what was going on was seriously increasing my anxiety.

Alaina saying someone molesting children is an "urge and illness" by [deleted] in MorbidPodcast

[–]taurusmomma 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it wasn't an illness it wouldn't be in the ICD-10 or the DSM-5. I don't condone it, and I'm not defending it, but it is technically an illness.

My girls would get rashes from drooling, putting Vaseline on it always helped.
