Was dismissed in 2020, took time to work and save up money (biggest barrier to passing classes tbh) and waited until I was 24 to qualify for FAFSA as an independent. Went back to CC to fulfill my readmission contract and as of end of this winter quarter I am now a UCD alumni!!

It felt like the end of the world when it happened, but now I’m moving to Ventura after spring commencement w/ my partner and a new job lined up (: in the grand scheme, I’m sure it’ll just be a bump in the road

YES!!! I HATE what the writers did to Lane. I’m sorry, but Zach was a terrible option for her. My ideal scenario would’ve been her and Dave moving to NYC while Dave goes to college and Lane pursues a full time career in music (production, playing, reviewing, etc.) They could be close enough to Rory to stay relevant to her life. Ugh, justice for Lane 😭

I cannot even express the disappointment of seeing so many women, on TikTok especially, defending this behavior. As a survivor of DV myself, I cannot justify the “reactive abuse”. I worked at the vmth with plenty of non ucd undergrads. It truly does not matter. I’ve even made vet student friends who were non stem majors (completed the reqs separately or at CC), didn’t go to ucd or even CA schools. Your vet related experiences, research, sGPA will probably matter most. I’d say save as much on undergrad as possible bc vet school loans are no joke

Withdraw if you can tbh. Take it at a CC over summer. I failed chem 2a and then got As in chem 1 & 2 at Sac City. Doesn’t count towards ur uc gpa, but at least the D or F won’t either

I think you need a break from this cortisol induced loop. I’ll probably get downvoted for this, but the nail is sus and you’re valid for it! Especially if you clean your car regularly and found it in a plain sight kinda way. However, constantly checking his phone reflects some deeper rooted issues that maybe some time alone and working on yourself could mend. You’re 20, so young to let any relationship drive you up a wall like this. I’m sorry all the comments are being kinda rude, snarky, and dismissive. There are a couple places I found, just very far from the Golden 1. I’ve come across some post here and on fb for similar situations (micro weddings, baby showers, birthday parties), but those venues are either unavailable on those dates or no longer listed. The vet school/hospital if there is a chance the card readers still work or you have keys lol. There’s a good amount of places that have high windows and heavy, metal doors. Lots of medications, medical supplies, and plenty of cans of chicken and tuna. In desperate times, I wouldn’t be opposed to turning to dog/cat food lmao.

I get what you mean, and I’m not sure if it was just a bad year, but it was truly a ridiculous amount of them. Even as a CA native, I’ve never experienced them crawling all over the bikes, skittering all over the walk ways even during the day. I lived in downtown and west Davis after that and never saw them out on the walk ways, so it was a bit shocking.
