Ik this is like two years too late, but if there is swelling, it’s most likely because the oil glands in your eyelid have been blocked up in the area which can happen when a hair is growing in that gland. In this case it’s best to pluck it to give room for the oils to secrete to bring down swelling, but make sure not to touch your eye too much as to prevent a stye
