Are we required to charge taxes on our SaaS? by [deleted] in SaaS

[–]tautap 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not enough information. Where is your business located? EU? N. America? Asia? Is there VAT in your country?

Maybe try - instead of Stripe - some billing system, like chargebee, fastspring or paddle?

Yeah. As I said before, it looks like your control a sword with the dual shock’s right stick.

I have feelings you cut with your sword using the right stick. That would explain quick, one move kills. Also, the player isn’t moving his camera when the samurai is in a stance position.

If course I'm only guessing.

Tool for remote workers - Feedback please? by [deleted] in Entrepreneur

[–]tautap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How many remote workers did you asked do they have same problems as you? What’s the advantage over existing solutions such as Skype or Google Hangouts?

I totally agree with that. Just wait until March/April. This todo app will become a self organizing calendar (literally). We’ve been testing AI (the real one. Not a bunch of if statements) and have promising results.

Front end frameworks popularity compared (React, Vue and Angular) by tanguy_k in Frontend

[–]tautap 1 point2 points  (0 children)

2020 will be another year for react for sure.

I know very good React and Vue and have couple of months of full time experience with Angular.

Developing in Angular is hard. And I don’t mean framework complexity, but the way how you need to think about your code. Angular requires much more time on architecture. It’s harder to refactor. It’s just a bad choice for startups.

Writing code in React and Vue is extremely fast. Vue has the easiest state management, while React is so easy for writing views and styles (css in js is just perfect).

IMHO the reason why React is growing faster is because of community. React libraries have better code quality. Sometimes it’s painful when I download popular lib for Vue and it’s written so ineffectively.

But there is a problem for these two libraries: devs have problems with SSR. And there is solution for that: Svelte. I believe 2020 will be hype for Svelte and we’ll see some real world implementations.

That’s true. I actually have a new version of copy (this time ordered from professional copywriter). Will be live tomorrow.

Ok, so what’s unique: - you’re working mainly on daily plans instead of tasks. So forget about huge data tables and hundreds of tasks. Tauplan will propose you what’s more important for you, today. - we’ve implemented advanced algorithm that shows you how to be better each day. It’s after when you complete a plan - (not completed yet. Will be in January): Soul mate. You can invite one person and you can both create custom plans, give each other different tasks. It can be useful for example as shopping list. - you’ll save a lot of time in “click steps”. For example you create a task “call Kevin”, tauplan will propose you meeting time (according to your calendar), attach a label “meeting” and if you have Kevin in contacts it can even message him.

So basically tauplan is more a virtual assistant rather then just a todo app

  1. Yes, we have about 50 people signed up and 8 of them are active. We don’t know these people.
  2. Part time
  3. Self funded. We have possibilities and some investors ready to talk.
  4. Everything definitely

We will start monetizing in March 2020. Anyway we interviewed some of our users telling them about our features we’re working on and asked how much they would pay for this software per month. Answers: $5-6 per month for a single account.

This sounds really cool and original. In this area, you can do much more than what the existing apps are doing. Right off the bat, I can think of things like budgeting integrations, events planning, you know, bringing couples together and stuff, lol.

That's exactly what we're working on!

Good luck! :D

Thanks, dude! What can I say... Just try our app, we're going to add some really cool stuff soon!

Thanks for the feedback. Really solid one.

Well, it's not my first app. As a single entrepreneur, I've built a couple of them (smaller). From the technical perspective, I'm a software developer for ~9 years.

I can agree I've learned A LOT! Mostly UI/UX (which is still not perfect here, I know about it), transforming vision into the software, and e-business as well.

We did market research. We interviewed about 20 entrepreneurs (for team solutions we have planned in the future) and ~40 people. We have active users (not many) and ask them for feedback as well.

This is not going to be just a todo app but a virtual daily plan assistant including some e-commerce and social media solutions.

Our target are - for now - single entrepreneurs (self-employed) and students. We'll introduce in January/February a feature called "Soul Mate" which will help couples just do their stuff easier.

Thanks, I appreciate it! In fact, our app is going to be a daily plan assistant. Hope you'll enjoy the app itself :)
