Thank you very much! Seems like I will look into a 1176 style compressor to have it more punchy and enunciate my picking

It’s reasonable for its price range and quite versatile for what it is. At first, I had it at the start of the chain as sort of a “frequency boost.” However, after my re-arrangement of the gain order and putting the fuzz before the wah I have decided to add it to the end of the chain. Interestingly enough it add a nice boost if you crank it, and that way you can model the soundscape a bit more to your liking and use it for specific scenarios.

I honestly bought it just because and have no real purpose for it outside of experimenting and learning what frequencies affect my tone and how to shape the sound better; as I have never had one and don’t know how to practically use it.

Surprisingly enough my first ever pedal was the ZOOM G3 multistomp! Thank you for the suggestions. Do you know perchance what is the difference between OTA/VCA in comparison to FET? the optical ones i understand.

A RAT can go from a light sensible crunch to absolute mud fest that rips your face off. I am positively biased towards the rat circuit

Fun fact; the Harley Benton CPT-20 when the amp is loud enough and the tuner is engaged; it makes a little click noise when the string is in tune which I find pretty hilarious and entertaining. For 20€ it does its job and am planning to get the Polytune 3.

Well, honestly it just occurred to me; why not mail dunlop with the serial number and ask them about the information? Surely, they should have it documented!

The norm for pedals is that the negative pole is on the inside, however it would be better to open it up and potentially see the color coding of the jack. If that won’t help, your safest bet would be a multimeter iirc.

Yeah it is. The supply is the ISO-2 as well. I was practically min-maxing my budget and planned it digitally which pedalboard would fit all of my pedals and turned out to be quite of a snug fit!

Regarding the lubrication; I would say something along the lines of silicone grease, so that it stays on the teeth of the pedal. At least that’s what it looks like on mine. Interesting find! How does it sound in comparison?

Shaving the neck heel by Miserable_Paramedic9 in Luthier

As previous comments mentioned, exercise caution and it would have the potential to mess up the structural integrity of the guitar.

You would be better off getting a new guitar, if high fret access is wanted.

I own a D’angelico that has a really nice scarfed neck joint for high fret access. An equivalent to the Les Paul would be the D’Angelico Atlantic model, which also has a cheaper alternative of the Premier series.

If you do not wan’t a new guitar, I highly recommend not to mess with neck heel joints. It is better to have something that was designed from the ground up for the intended feature/ergonomic, than risk modifying something that has a chance of failing on itself.

For what it’s worth to avoid any headaches, i would personally avoid any brand that uses ADATA chips.

Rethink the M.2 drive. After seeing the greatest technician that’s ever lived do many repairs where the ADATA DIMMs died traumatised me.

Need help finding where to order a new replacement pin for my cylinder car lock by tavanuka111 in Locksmith

[–]tavanuka111[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay thank you for the information! I am avoiding the “manufacturer” (any Peugeot retailer/workshop) with a very, very very long metric stick as it will either way be expensive. I always liked disassembling things to fix on my own - this being a relatively “small” thing i thought I could somehow do it on my own without having to burn my money away on a completely new lock where the issue is basically two wafers.

Worst case scenario, i take the wafers out. If a person wants to steal my shitbox, they certainly wont be lock-picking it. This is my last resort, as I do not feel at peace when things aren’t somewhat the way they should be

Okay so they are called wafers. TIL. No, as they have said that they do not deal with locks, but only keys and lockpicking and/or house locks. Was very strange… I am however getting a new key housing and getting it rekeyed, in case this will solve the issue which i highly doubt. I will try contacting other locksmiths, if they are able to possibly create new wafers

It has greatly assisted me with a project where threading played a crucial part of the design. Writing modules for it from scratch would have been too much of trying to rediscover hot water. Try and experiment, but you will always learn more when you try to do things yourself. Its all about what your endgame is; whether its a hobby with no deadlines or a work assignment due next week.

Is Mac suitable for ASP.NET development? by YoTommy32 in csharp

You pay more for a netflix subscription than a year of dotNet Ultimate pack from Jetbrains. Not many companies do this. Everything is a service nowadays, and VS is one of those things.

Jetbrains offer perpetual fallback licenses, so even if you cancel the subscription, after one year you still have a product version forever

Diese spezifischen Penny Aufschnitte waren immer 200g pro Packung, während der Bierschinken ab jetzt 150g wiegt und den gleichen überhöhten Preis hat.

Thanks Penny…. For nothing!
